Grapefruit and orange zest lightly tickles your nose. Clean, citrusy flavors evoking freshly squeezed orange and pink grapefruit juice quench your thirst. A light bready, malty sweetness is noticeable in the background. Bitterness is muted for an IPA. Dry. Delicious. Incredibly drinkable. Who knew all that flavor could come from a tiny little flower?

On tap at the brewery. Hazed apricot colored ale capped with a creamy ivory head that slowly fades to a foam. Juicy grapefruit and orange zest with toasty caramel malt for an aroma. Bold pungent bitterness of grapefruit zest and pine. Caramel malt and bread crust for a malt backbone, but hops prevail. Super resious medium body; ample carbonation; bold and bitter zesty semi-dry finish. Overall, very solid American IPA with an old-school hop profile.

Appearance - pours a perfectly translucent light amber, has about a finger of foam to start, but dwindles to a broken cap.
Smell - very grassy hops, and some light candied citrus
Taste - very grassy, earthy and bitter, there's a little candied citrus peel in there too.
Mouthfeel - just short of medium, carb is lower side of medium and really lets the bitter hope assert. Finishes a little bitter and hot on the alcohol.
Overall - not a bad beer, but not balanced, and alcohol is noticeable. Can't recommend this one.

Scorched Earth is the most appropriate name for this brewery, feel like I took a big bite out of a chinook hop, but in a good way, kinda.

Served from tap in a tumbler at Firkin.
I'm too fond of being alive to try out BASE jumping, but this is the next best thing, right? Anyway, this stuff pours a clear brass topped by a finger of light cream foam. The nose comprises biscuit, light grapefruit peel, and grass. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a hint of orange peel and some mild pine resin. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a nice enough IPA, nothing spectacular, but something I could drink again for a balanced IPA experience.
