Bottle is marked 3/03/07, I guess it could be a bit fresher (11/20/07 right now) but we'll see how this one holds up. Bought it at Vidalia's in Lansdale, PA. Pretty nice singles selection there, but obviously some stock rotates quicker than others.
Appearance: A hard pour into a pint glass (where'd my pils glass go?) reveals a thick head which quickly dies down to nothing. No lacing on side of glass either. Slightly hazy lemony yellow color. Nice, in my opinion.
Aroma: Slight hints of hops, but a mild biscuity and grainy smell dominates.
Taste: Starts with a bitter bite of classic pilsner hops, opening into a biscuit and bready flavor. Nice.
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation level, right in the middle, not too much, but enough to bring out the flavors perfectly. A nice medium-bodied mouthfeel, more body than a lot of pilsners I've tried. Very good.
Drinkability: Very high drinkability. Easily a session beer for me. Not too heavy a beer, not too sweet, but with a great refreshing flavor that gives you some flavor to chew on. This is the first time I've tried this one, and it's enjoyability is right up there with Prima Pils (maybe a hair higher?). I'd love to get this fresh sometime, though I hear this beer has been discontinued. What a shame, it's the best pilsner I've had in a long time.
Try it if you can find it!

Nice fresh hops coming through on the aroma, it's not pure grain like I get out of most pilsners. Grassy, and somewhat floral as well.
Poured out with a lot of junk, I didn't know this was bottle carbonated. The beer is hazy and dark straw in color. The head was an off-white fluffy thing which had tremendous staying power. Lacing was really nice too, however, there were bits of floating junk in the beer too. It looked unappetizing overall.
Super carbonated was the first thing I noticed. It has a light fruit character, like berries without the sweetness, grain, cereal, and it has this earthy kind of twist to it. Not too bad, at least it's interesting.
