Poured vigorously into a Dogfish Head Pint Glass.
Dark amber/orange color- very cloud, this looks like an unfiltered brew. VERY thick 2 finger head that very slowly morphed int a stick thick lace with excellent retention.
Hop smell up front, hint of pine and sweet bread. Subtle hint of toffee. Very full hop taste up front, softens a bit on the finish. The first mouthful elicited a pleasant 'wow' as the hop taste starts with a light punch. Tasty.
Mouthfeel is a bit lighter, even though the taste is full. Better put, it's a full body ale but not as full as I was expecting from a DIPA.
I like this double- very drinkable, and a very good example of a craft double IPA.
