Had this on-tap at the Sugarbowl in Edmonton. Poured into a smaller, imperial style glass.
A - poured an amber color with a fluffy head that dissipated quickly leaving some streaky lacing.
S - lots of promise on the nose with some big citrus hops (my favorite)
T - nice initial hops attack with citrus and mango but then mid-sip it really fell flat. Not much in the finish and in a second or two it was gone. After a few more sips it was pretty clear this didn't quite live up to the original promise (always tricky with DIPAs). Not much of a malt profile to carry it through which was a bit of a surprise.
M - surprisingly light on the tongue and with very little endurance. Not much booziness.
D - drinkable, but lacking a bit of character sadly.
This was nice to try, but I wouldn't really recommend it as it didn't maintain its character throughout the drink. Decent, but not great.
Serving type: on-tap
