Pours orangish and with a cloudy haze. The head is not pronounced.
Piney stale biscuit-malty smell. Familiar, not my favorite nose on a DIPA, but interesting to pinpoint what it smells like to me.. Stale peanut butter balanced with a citrus note, interesting enough to see what comes next.
This is nice, flavor after flavor of wet hops with the sweet malts playing their role but not intrusively so. Lemon-lime citrus rind rushes through, finishes nice. Juicy.
Velvety with light to medium carbonation. Wetness lingers awhile.
Overall I did dig this Seattle brewery's style, even though I had to get past the odd yet interesting dank and bready gate, so-to-speak. Enjoyed.
