Pike often gets overlooked in the regional beer scene because of the touristy nature of the market. Pike makes damn tasty brews and because we can get them at most any mini-mart or grocery store we sometimes skip right past them.

The market location is a fine spot. There is brewing equipment visible, and there is a ton more downstairs, and a lot of breweriana on display. Pikes food is tasty but not outstanding. The same can be said for the service, I've always had competent, professional servers but given the nature of the beast they don't generally have the chance to spend quality time with you.

The place is usually very busy days during the summer tourist season, but if you swing by at night, after the market is closed for the day, the place is more relaxed and a better example of PNW brewpub life. If you're visiting, Pike is a must hit. Those of us that live here, maybe we should visit more often. (915 characters)

Great place to visit whether you live or are visiting Seattle. Located in historic Pike Place Market, this brewery has a huge selection of beers and good food as well. There is also a small, but very cool beer museum. This is a must visit for fans of craft beer (261 characters)

Pretty touristy but I'm a tourist. Very loud and busy, lots of families with children. That said, not a relaxing place but the food and beer was great. Definitely go if you're in the area. (194 characters)

The first brewery of many on my trip to the Northwest and not a bad way to start out. After walking the Seattle downtown 1st street area and passing through the Pike Place fish market we needed some grub and a few beers to regain some energy - Pike Place would fill that need.

The vibe wasn't my thing but in the heavy foot traffic area probably went over well with the general pop. Tons of retro beer paraphernalia lined the walls to the point where it became distracting. It reminded me of a TGIFridays for beer - super busy.

Beer quality was great - I had a straight forward saison that blew me away and a pale ale that was decent (very classically hopped with big malt character) but fell short of my expectations. The lady had an IPA and a Porter both were nice from the few sips I took.

Service was decent, waiter took our orders quickly and was informative about the beers and food menu - he was a little slow on bringing us a second round and our bill but the place was picking up in volume so not unexpected.

The beer selection was about average - Your typical IPA / APA / porter / etc main stays with a few other beers with more interesting spins. But the food was probably the highlight for me - Not sure if it was because we were so hungry or if it was warranted but the pizza I had and the sandwich she had really hit the spot - and that spot was our stomachs. (1,380 characters)

Very good set up, service, and food. Great location. The only thing lacking is World-Class beer. (98 characters)

Ok place. Beer is not the best but great when you're at Pike Place Market. (74 characters)

This place is near and dear to me. I first visited in 1997, when craft breweries were popping up all over the Pacific Northwest. The combination of funky location, great food and interesting beer had me hooked immediately. Each of my return visits have been equally favorable. They make great burgers, but my absolute favorites are the Penn Cove Mussels or the fish and chips. For me, no visit to Seattle is complete without a stop by the Pike Pub & Brewery. (458 characters)
