Sandy light amber with a creamy collar.

Smell is oaky, seedy blueberry-raspberry with a hint of buttery crust.

Sour but also malty with a soft, big froth and semi-dry crispness, this is exhibiting a nice balance of berry flavors and biscuit, leaning acidic.

Pours an almost transparent pinkish-red colour with a thin white head. Smell is fairly restrained, the presumably wheat based malt character stands out; getting a lot of cracker on the nose. A watered down fruit punch smell, some raspberry jam, maybe a hint of nutmeg but really not much sign of the barrel. Taste follows the smell, some light underripe raspberry and blackberry up front but the wheat takes over from there, a bit of a lactic quality. Feel is definitely on the light side, a bit thin and drying.

Overall, an easy drinking sour. Not particularly complex but enjoyable nonetheless. I'm surprised it's not classified as a Berliner Weisse.
