Kind of a hazy dark gold, without the abundance of head that I have come to expect in a wheat beer.

Fruit dominates the nose. Puckery sour raspberry, backed up by a light banana aroma. Underneath it all is a faint sweet wheat graininess. Not bad, just not what I want to smell when I stick my face in a beer.

Tart and sweet again in the taste. Almost seems like there might be some yeast flavor shining thru, but it gets immersed in a berry sweet finish.

I think this beer would be sitting undrank in my fridge for a long time if I had bought a sixpack.

Lightly hazy orangified amber with the barest suggestion of pink (although that may be either my imagination due to the name and style of the beer or the pink blossoms on the weeping cherry tree outside my front window as I hold the glass up to the sunlight filtering through it). The off-white head is airily creamy, persists for a bit and is beginning to deposit an extended collar of lace that slurs down the glass as the foam slowly deflates.

The nose isn't bad by any means, but it isn't overly compelling either. It's softly wheaty with a gentle fruitiness that I'd have a hard time identifying as raspberry in a blind smell test. I might say 'berry', but further classification would be difficult.

The weizen base beer is average at best. For starters, it's too thinnly malted, which leads to something less than an abundance of wheaty flavor. Although the berry essence is pretty weak, there's no doubt now that I'm dealing with raspberry. Its subtleness is a positive for those who don't like fruit beer that bludgeons its drinker with fruit.

This berry beer is primarily sour (although not overly so), then just a little bitter. It isn't sweet in the least. The raspberry flavor makes an attempt to get noticed in the second half of each mouthful, suddenly gives up and is gone until the next sip. Unfortunately, the body/mouthfeel is overly thin, even for a summer quencher.

Weizen Berry is okay as far as summerish fruit beer goes, but I doubt that I'd drink it even if it was readily available in my neck of the woods. I like the idea, it's just that the execution leaves a little something to be desired.

The beer pours a hazy pale gold color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a nice wheat malt scent that boasts of banana and cloove along with a slight raspberry aroma. The taste is average. It has a light wheat malt flavor that is bland and a bit bitter. It goes down slow and finishes sour and with a bit of raspberry essence. The mouthfeel is average as well. It is a low/medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is an average wheat brew. It is a little too bland. They should kick up the fruit content to balance the flavor a little more.

Pours a hazed tea color with a modest off-white head. The refreshing smell is lightly sweetened berry and faint wheat and yeast notes. The taste is more of what the smell has with a more pronounced tart berry and yeast with wheat throughout although faint. This is a light to medium bodied beer that finishes slightly sweet and sticky.

Notes: This would make a killer summer time brew when you want something different. This is a pretty solid refreshing beer that I will probably have again later for this Texas heat. Cheers!

It is a cloudy dark gold color. The aroma is a bit strange. There are definite hefe-weizen banana and clove, but the raspberry makes it smell weird. It's like the aromas are competing instead of working together. The taste is actually pretty good. The banana/clove tastes are slight and that explodes into sweet raspberry. The fruit is a little strong, but regardless it finishes clean with a slight tartness. It is refreshing even if it is not the best wheat beer around.

Sweet raspberry nose. Fluffy airy white head. Hazy bright yellow look. Fuller, strange mouth. A slight wheat malt base with a slight touch of blueberry/raspberry in the finish. All the flavors are subtile and understated. Not exciting at all, and the brew does not live up to its nose.

Gold in color with no hint of anything resembling raspberry in the appearance. Raspberry was quite evident on the nose. Raspberry taste on the other hand was hard to find in the flavor profile but it was there. Wheat character is also there, but not very assertive. On the finish, a very diet coke like aftertaste lingers for what seems to be forever. If drinking this one in a flight, be sure to do it last or you will be tasting nutrasweet in every beer.
