The Blueliner was a slightly above average APA. It poured a golden clear with white head and spotty lace. The scent and taste had touches of pine and citrus. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was ok.

Pours a clear amber colour. Smells lightly of fresh hops, slightly citrusy. Tastes quite bitter, very earthy, slightly hoppy, and light. Very light overall.

every new beer i buy from these guys the more i like them. this is just a pale ale, but its so fresh and delicate, a true crusher of a beer, the craft beer drinkers session beer, really well done on the hops, and with no interference at all from the grain base, just light and dry cereals there. big simcoe hop nose and taste here, but the less bitter more fruity side of it, freshness is key. i am thinking there has so be some el dorado or something in here too, it has that jellybean sort of aroma, with a tropical hop complexion you dont usually get from simcoe alone. the mouthfeel is awesome, really makes the beer stand out for me. almost like a lager, so crisp and golden and dry and snappy in the finish, and so light in body but super wel charged on the carbonation. definitely perfect hot weather beer, but also an interesting and delicious enough pale ale that i would probably keep this in my fridge year round if i lived in minnesota or anywhere else that it might be available. really stoked on this beer. i need to get to the brewery next time i am up that way and check them out in person! wonderful pale here, especially for the price!

Purchased a bottle from Lake Wine and Spirits on 4-22-16. It was bottled on 12-22-16.
L: It pours hazy gold under a 3” rocky cream colored cap with a very fine bead. It is sticky and persistent and even at 6 minutes the cap holds up at over 1/3 its original size.
S: Fruit, citrus, peach and apricot and a touch of oxidized aromas.
T: Big fruit on a bread crumb malt backbone with a moderate hop bitterness on the finish. There is a slight stale oxidized character in the background.
F: The medium bodied beer is creamy and highly carbonated.
O: The high levels of carbonation detract somewhat from the flavors. The oxidized flavors and the carbonation levels could be from the age.

The least expensive Eastlake bomber of the ones in the store. Have not heard a lot of good things from this brewery so I did not want to take too big of a risk. Sticker on the back of the bottle states:
Pale ale with Palisade and Simcoe hops. Bottled by Billy on Mar 10, 2016. Return to taproom for $1 discount.
Nice that they will take their bottles back and I assume reuse them. But I am too far away from them to consider this an option.
Pours a slightly hazy dark gold color with a finger of head that had good retention before settling to a thin cap. Moderate amount of spotty lacing is left down the glass. Hop aroma of tropical fruit with a bit of grain from the malt. The flavor starts off with some nice hop notes of citrus and pine with balancing sweetness from the malt that does not really add any flavor of its own. I would of liked a little bit of malt character as this seems to be like hop water. Thankfully not much bitterness accompanies the flavor. Touch of astringency but they seem to have gotten most of their fermentation issues sorted out. Very light body but is properly carbonated.
A nice beer but not something I would seek out or enough for me to invest more money in trying more of this breweries beer.

Another local bomber, this one fairly reasonably priced @ $5.99. 22 oz. brown bottle with a raccoon with skates on the front? Batch #90 bottled by Billy on 12/22/15. Yo, Bill? I’m holding you personally responsible for this brew.
The pour is a clear filtered hazel. Carbonation is a touch low but within acceptable parameters (though I doubt Six Sigma devotees would be amused). Aroma is very grainy; I smelled this when I repeatedly drove down to Austin, MN through the fields around Highway 218. The plus is an almost honeyed sweetness with an almost Belgianesque note. I’m confused. I’m starting to think the beer is, too.
Blueliner tastes under attenuated. There’s a sickly sweetness to it that smacks me in the gums & clings with all nine talons. There’s a faint hop bitterness in the middle & a smidgeon of citrus or something, but there’s honey & a growing mustiness as the temperature of the beer heads north. Mouthfeel is decent, but that’s a mild triumph here.
The off-tastes hold this beer hostage. One more local brewer that hasn’t mastered bottling their beer. Eastlake: figure out how to bottle your damn beer before making me waste my money on it. Seriously. You've just put me off your bottled brews for a long time, & I suspect I'm not going to be the only one. Drain-pour bad.

22oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a one finger, white head of foam. It smelled malty and grassy with a nice punch of citrus. It tasted very malty and a little green. Odd bitterness.
