Appearance: Clear, pale gold with a frothy white head. Minimal carbonation.

Smell: Decent hop presence. Slight malt undertones.

Taste: Crisp malty character with a touch of hops. The brew has an herbal quality to it.

Mouthfeel: Light body, satisfying crispness, slightly dry finish.

Drinkablity: This brew is better than I remember. The quality of the brew is good.

Appearance was a gold/yellow color, pretty good head but it fades way to quickely. Some honey notes in the smell but I didnt get to much out of it.TasteTaste was a little sweet with no balance to it,there was kind of a funky aftertaste to it as well.Didnt think it would be that great and....I was right.

Appearance – The faintest of heads that went down quickly. The body is light yellow and clear.

Smell – The aroma actually isn’t bad. There’s no skunk, for one thing. It’s kind of musty with grain and a hint of hops.

Taste – There’s a lot of sucrose sweetness to this one. It’s almost kind of sour. Really, that’s about all I can taste.

Mouthfeel – Very flat and thin in the body. It makes you want to brush your teeth.

Sinkability – I can drink any beer when making Mexican sauces (I taste a lot), so this one is saved from the sink.

Light, sweetish, no head, no lace. Hard to find a positive point about this beer, possibly OK to drink while in the hot Thai weather, otherwise, theres no real point, bland, fizzy and yellow.

A brilliant straw-gold body is capped by a bright white head of creamy foam that holds quite well and leaves some nice lacing about the glass. Hundreds of very fine bubbles rise quickly, adding to both the head and the appearance. The aroma is quite distinct with some lager-yeast sulphur above grassy hops and a sweetish malt. It's instantly recognizable as being related to the heavier, standard Singha - although this is bottled in brown glass, rather than clear, and there's no skunkiness at all to it. The body is medium and it's fine, gently effervescent carbonation caresses the tongue before warming to become lightly creamy and smooth. In the flavor, a rich but "generic" beer flavor appears at first backed by a solid bitterness. As it warms a short note of its sweet, grainy malt appears; followed by some very nice grassy hops that lead into a dry finish. A mild bitterness lingers but eventually erodes to reveal an even longer lingering malt note. Quite nice! This is a very well done lager that has enough character in both its malt and its hop that it can stand up to most aggressive food flavors; and also maintains enough interest that it can be enjoyed through several servings simply on its own. Worth trying.

The beer pours a limpid golden straw color with an average sized head, the lace thin and white in color. Nose is malt, somewhat crisp, boring is more like it. Start malt and lightly sweet, the top puny, finish is bitingly acidic, the hops sparse, dry and a total loss in my mind.

It takes several hours for the ferry to take you from the mainland to Koh Tao. Of course, this is after traveling by train or bus from Bangkok all the way out here to the middle of nowhere. The ferry rocks about, with warm air blowing in your face as you stare at the water to see what will wander by. I always like it when I can spot a big, giant jelly fish or turtle.

You dock, take a short tuk tuk to a "resort" and pay less than $20 a night for some fancy digs right on the beach. Wander over to the meal area, start political arguments with Euro-trash, and try some thai munchies--you know, the spicy ones with rock salt, cashews, and prik ki nu (mouse shit chilis).

To calm the fire in your mouth and cool the 100 degree heat and sunburn, you suck back a few Singha Golds, the greatest $2 beer in the world. It won't win any awards and it won't win over the hearts of the beergeekdom, but for that time and that place, its nothin but perfect.

330 ml bottle, now available in Norway (grocery stores). ABV is 4.5%. The "little brother" of the ordinary Singha, which also is available here (at Vinmonopolet). Pale golden colour, large and lingering head, very moderate carbonation. Tolerable fruity and grassy aroma. Fairly "neutral" lager flavour, some malty sweetness and moderate hops - not a great beer, but fortunately without the nasty "industrial" and metallic sidenotes that so many pale lagers are cursed with. Drinkable swill for the beach in Thailand.

A fine creamy head on a slightly hazy golden color body. Citric and almost sour smell. The smell is quite refreshing, very citric with even hints of sourness. Notes of caramelized apples. Mouthfeel is very smooth, almost creamy. Hoppiness is subtle and grassy in a dry way. I think I'm happily surprized by this beer, considering the bad reviews it has gotten so far.

A nice looking bottle that came with 2 Thai-food-beer recipes hanged on it.
Clear Golden and a quickly disappearing one inch white head.
Aroma of adjucts is distinct (rice).
The taste is surprisingly a little fruity, sweetish and very moderately hopped. adjucts rule the mouth, carbonation is decent. Semi-dry finish.
Could be drinkable on a Thai beach with some Pad-thai. less at home.
Slightly better than the regular Singha.

The beer pours a gold color with a spotty white lace head. The aroma is weak. It has the scent of pale malts with a bit of residual skunkiness. The taste is decent. It is a clean and refreshing beer. It is a bit grainy with a zing to it. All in all it's not that bad. The mouthfeel is good. It is a low bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a decent drinker. I was a little disappointed. I heard that this brewery was something special.

Neon yellow-green color, which I will call...Singha Gold. Fine cream head sticks around for awhile but dies down soon after. Citrusy, sweet smell with the head up, but that, too, dies away.

Honeyish, mild taste with medium body. Overall...mild, with a smooth subtle hop finish. Strong carbonation that arrives with the body--nicely structured.

Appearance: Brown bottle gold wrapping. Beautiful gold color that pours a decent sized head that evaporates immediately. Small bubbles.
Aroma: Has a corn, malt and lightly citrus nose.
Taste: Light bitterness on a bland flavor
Mouthfeel: flat pepsi
Drinkability: only in thai strip bars

There only two good things about this beer: 1) the beautiful gold color and the strip bar in which I drank it.
