Golden brew, extremely lively and topped with a snow white head. Ok retention. Pale and transparent.

Strong aroma, heavy on barley grains and grassy hops.

Bitter up front, quickly shifting to a slightly sweet, grainy body. Slightly unpleasant aftertaste. Grassy hope with a kiss of lemon; balanced bitterness.

Lively and smooth; fuller side of light.

This is a decent import lager, better than standard AAL fare, but well below widely available European lagers. (465 characters)

Clear, pure yellow-golden with low or medium retention fizzy white head. Smells grainy, little more. Taste is similar, but honey- or fruit-like sweetness detectable with rindy finish and bready retro-olfaction. Light in body, very crisp, medium to high carbonation. (265 characters)

Bought 5-10-15 from a Total wine that opened 11/14. Bottled on 6-13-14 and lists a best date of 6-13-15 from a total wine that opened 11-14.
L: Pours a vigorous brilliant gold under a 2” cream to white colored foam cap that produces light lace. S: Light malt and fresh white bread aromas.
T: The palate starts with a slight light grain sweetness and a trace of apple ending with a moderate bitterness.
F: Crisp, light body, medium to a little above on the carbonation.
O: The beer is refreshing but the aromas and the flavors are a little muted after 11 months in the bottle. The brewer’s vision of the beer’s shelf life is overly optimistic. (654 characters)

Appearance - pours very pale with some head that disappears quickly, Aroma - fruity smell, reminds me of champagne. Taste - lacking, not sure if it is that I haven't had utility beer for some time but it was rather unnoticeable. Feel - astringent with a warmth afterwards. Overall - I would put in category 'piss beer', it does have astringent elements that I appreciate. (371 characters)

Poured from a bottle into a wine glass.

Golden clear with a grainy (almost) sour nose. The flavor is a classic adjunct lager; crisp and sweet with a sour hint in this bottle I've not detected previously. First amongst equals in Thai beer. (240 characters)

Pale straw color. White 3 finger head lasting around 2 minutes. Weak legs but high activity.

Faint aromas, but strong flavors of grains and citrus with minimal herbal spices. Rich crisp taste with some pleasant bitterness and slightly sweet.

Slick light body with prickly carbonation. Well intensified finish ending with a thick smoky grainy and lemony, slightly bitter dry mouth coat.

Overall : Surprisingly good rich flavors, great freshness while being a little dry...really impressed! Love this beer! (508 characters)

This is my favorite beer to have with Thai food. It goes especially well with spicy Thai chilly basil. It certainly beats the usual "BMC" offerings as well as the Japanese adjuncts. Nicely balanced between malts and hops, finishes slightly bitter. (247 characters)

An okay beer but nothing much to make it stand out. Okay look and smell but taste a little too watery for me and not much on mouthfeel. Overall, I would group it with other average beers. (187 characters)

This was bad even by euro pale lager standards

L: Yellow, small head, not nearly carbonated enough.

S: Grainy malt.

T: Has a funny aftertaste accompanying the grainy malt. Mostly grainy malt, though.

F: Not carbonated enough.

O: Bad. (244 characters)

I lived in Thailand 4 times and spent a total of about 5 years there, so I felt i should at least take the time to write about their beers...which are all bad. There are a few local brew places that are okay, but the stuff sold in stores is all bad.
Singha used to be the main local beer 20 years ago, but now is considered "premium" compared to the even cheaper and crappier offerings like Chang and Leo. It is still not very good, but better than those other ones. The best Thailand piss beer. (497 characters)

Pale clear gold with two fingers of white head that lingers about five minutes. Few lacings.
Smell bready malt and some herbal hop aroma.
Taste big surprise is the level of the noble hopping in this beer. The malts are barely able to keep up. Light to medium mouthfeel with proper carbonation level. A lightly dry bitter finish.
Overall an excellent euro lager that has some real flavor. I was not expecting such a tasty beer from Thailand. (445 characters)

The aroma is weak but lightly fruity with a lemon-lime character along with some faint graininess. The body is a brilliantly clear pale amber with an eggshell-white head. Surprisingly flavorful with a grainy sweetness, a lightly spicy/herbal hop flavor, and very minimal hop bitterness. Some of the spiciness and graininess linger in the finish. The body is light and crisp with considerable carbonation.

Quite drinkable and pleasant, perhaps a step up from ordinary. (469 characters)

Presentation: Nice, artistic and regal looking bottle that will stand out on the shelf

Appearance: A bright sunshiny yellow that fizzles and bubbles, with a equally bright white head.

Smell: Lightly sweet smell with undertones of metal and alcohol, reminds me a bit of malt liquor

Taste: Crispy, clean, dry taste with a light hop bitterness. Citrus fruits *grapefruit comes to mind* are here as well but nothing is over powering

Overall a not half bad beer, I was pleasantly surprised. Most beers out of Asia tend to be watery and bland, but this beer had a decent flavor and was refreshing. Wouldn't drink everyday but I will definatly pick it up again the next time I go to BYOB Asian diner (698 characters)

Excellent beer brewed under German technology. Great head smooth lager beer taste. Tastes best at a beer garden overlooking downtown Bangkok on a typical hot, humid day. Aroi maak maak. Tried it in Bangkok and other cities in Thailand, best beer in the country with Chang a close second. (292 characters)

11.2 ounce bottle with a fill date of 3/4/14 and an exp. date of 3/4/15.

A: Pours a clear pale yellow with a solid 1-finger thick white head which fades slowly and yields some clumpy lace.

N: Yeasty and lemony, herbal and grassy, mildly sweet malts for balance and a touch of wheat.

T: Clean, light yeast, earthy, grainy, faint lemon zest.

M: Light body and medium carbonation. Crisp, mildly dry finish.

O: Refreshingly simple. The understated clean taste really is nice. (476 characters)

This poured a light amber gold with a fat creamy head of white foam. Clear and had bubbles rising to the top. Lovely presentation. You could call it glorious. The nose is sweetened grain. it has a richness on the nose that is deep. A slight hop herbal grass to sweeten it. It drinks well. Hearty grain, dry and robust with plenty of depth and the hops are accents. They add some sweet herbal grass to the palate for definition and depth. The beer has a medium mouthfeel and is not shy. I would call it forcefull in it's malt stature. The malt is the drink. It's pleasing and leaves with a slight bit of dryness and maybe an earthiness that you could call bitter. This was made by a thai brewer who got his training in Germany and it's evdent in this beer. Tall golden liquid grain with a an enthusiastic and crisp presence. (823 characters)

Undated bottle at about 40 degrees at Thai restaurant into small glass
Aroma of grain
Head average (about 2.5 cm), white, fizzy, rapidly diminishing to broken 2 mm ring
Lacing none
Body light yellow, clear, sparkling
Flavor begins with sweet graininess, short lasting. Some dimethylsulfide noticed; no hops, no alcohol, no diacetyl.
Palate light, dry, soft carbonation

Not a bad beer with Thai food but I wouldn’t recommend it with much else. (445 characters)

The scent is not horrible. But there is something with the malt that I simply do not appreciate.
The taste feels cheap and quite watery with strange tones of hops. Lacks bitterness.

The overall rating is quite low. It is not specially tasty, but it is quite easy to drink. (274 characters)

Bottle purchased at Beers of the World in Henrietta, NY.

Pours a a clear straw golden yellow, with a half inch head that dissipates almost immediately. Not much lacing.

Smells like basically nothing, unfortunately. A bit of sweet malt and grain.

The taste is similarly light. It's crisp and light, and that's the best thing going for it. It's got a slightly metallic twang that's very off-putting. There is a musty hop leaf type flavor, and some sweet grain.

Light bodied, crisp, fairly drinkable as long as it stays cold.

This is only a slight step above the typical American macro lager. It's high points are how easy drinking it is, and it's a tick from Thailand. But other than that, it's nothing to write home about. (726 characters)

Poured into a shaker pint glass. Pours a medium straw amber with a thin white head that dissipates to a thin ring around the glass with little lacing. Served in a cold glass at a restaurant and allowed to warm up bit before tasting. Mild aroma of sweet malt and a hint of grassy hops; typical Euro pale / adjunct lager. Flavor follows with mild grainy malt with a hint of biscuit and a light grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Light bodied. Quite as expected for a light foreign lager, perhaps with slightly more mildly astringent hop bitterness in the finish than the body can support, but overall a nice neutral accompaniment to my Thai meal, even if not something I would buy as a stand alone ale. (702 characters)

A: Very pale clear straw, ample loose bubbles, frothy head alike soda- fades moderately quickly, leaves no lacing. Labeling is pretty cool.

S: Not pleasant. Dirty malt, yeast. It's a little off-putting, but not rank.

T: An improvement over the nose. Cleaner malts, a glimpse of a surprisingly and impressively floral yeast finish. Sessionable, if mostly unremarkable.

M: Watery and bubbly, but nothing to gripe about.

O: This could be a guilty pleasure all-night beer with friends. The nose isn't good, but the rest isn't bad. (530 characters)

Enjoyed with a nice Thai meal; poured out of the bottle into a pint glass.

It pours a super clear light yellow with a small white head and vigorous carbonation. There's a Caro syrup smell all too reminiscent of an Icehouse Lager, with some clean pale malts and a hint of lemon. Tasting it, I get sweet malt, bland soggy grains, and as it warms up, an extremely bitter metallic taste on the back end. It's no wonder they served this in a frozen pint glass. Goes down fizzy with a watery, light body. (500 characters)

Purchased at the LCBO for around $14.00 6pk of 330ml bottles. Served at 6deg C in a draught glass.

A- Ok. Opens well pours clear and light gold. Not much head after 10sec

S- Not much here at all

T- Ok at best. Lots of carbonation. Little aftertaste. Light on hops and malt. Light on taste.

M- Nothing special but ok. Lots of carbonation keeps this beer alive.

O- Feels like Thailand's Bud or Blue. Mass produced without a lot of character

Food Pairing

This light beer pairs well with anything you would like to have with a Bud.

Overall, a mild but pleasant beer. It reminded me of a Budweiser but with actual flavor and not watery. There's a nice, buttery like smoothness to this beer. And obviously it pairs well with spicy Thai food. The next time I'm at a Thai restaurant, I might have to get a bottle or two with my meal. (297 characters)
