Can from Uptown Market. 5% ABV.

A clear straw yellow with a rapidly receding white head this looks good. The nose is classic berlinerweisse. Raw, grainy wheat with straw, frothy, yogurt-like lactic acid, mild lemon. The palate opens crisp , clean, snappy with straw, yogurt, tart and refreshing. Mild lemon and dough notes. Drying, tart and snappy on the finish, this is quenching and refreshing.

Appearance - From the can, the poured a bright yellow color with a white head.

Smell - The nose was bright yellow leaning tart and overcoming the wheat.

Taste - The beer was pretty spot-on for the style without ruining it with lactose and fruit puree. Bright lemon notes came to the front with notes of lemon rind in back. The lemon was accompanied by dry wheat which made me want to drink more on this hot summer day.

Mouthfeel - The beer was aggressively carbonated which brushed away the sweetness and allowed for the dry finish.

Overall - This is pretty much what a Berliner should be.

This reminds me of what an edgy berliner used to be, obviously the boundaries of the style of blown past this now, but I really like where this is at. Cracker malt with wheat, tart lemon, cool lime, a dash of sea salt, with some hint of pineapple in the tart aftertaste. Smell focuses more on the citrus, taste on the whole interaction. Great body where you get soft wheat, wet fruit tartness, and satisfying crisp finish, refreshing. Beach beer for sure

Sour Berliner Weisse with a good tartness and lemon zest. Some hints of Apple as well as zest. A very refreshing beer and well brewed with good balance.
