Inspired by the traditional light ale from Köln, Seafarer is made with German pilsner malt and aromatic, floral Hallertau Tradition hops. This crisp, pale, lively Kölsch-style ale is the perfect first mate for navigating the seas of life.

Purchased a 6-pack at Alan's Market in Venice, California. Canned on 04/25/2022. "No More Mondays." 4.8% ABV.
Poured into a traditional stange glass. Bight, clear, golden colored beer topped with a white foamy head that clings and keeps a lace to the last drop. Nose is clean with hints of bread and floral noble hops. First sip is very crispy with a nice carbonation bite. Light-bodied, but firm and smooth on the palate. Smacks with lemon, grass, white grape, and some green apple-like characters. Malt backbone is quite bready and biscuity with a touch of honey. Finish goes dry and a bit astringent.
Last I heard, Seafarer represents a huge chuck of Three Weavers production. Not surprised. This is a damn solid nod to the Kölsch style from an American brewer. It's very approachable, refreshingly crushable, and checks all of the boxes that I look for in a proper Kölsch.

Tastes like a corn lager . Dominant DMS in the nose , seems a little high carbonation for the style. Overall has no business being called a Kolsch for many reasons .. It's an American blonde ale that smells like an ear of corn.

Very Refreshing! Enjoyed in a chilled pint glass from a 12oz can and paired with a homemade red bell pepper and feta stuffed angus burger and a side of air fried red potato chips.
L: Pale straw yellow with a full fluffy head with good retention that dissipated slowly.
S: Grassy, fresh, balanced
T: Clean, crisp, well balanced, mild hop tang, not too bitter.
F: Light and refreshing, easy to drink, chugged about half the glass without realizing. Definitely sessionable!
O: Definitely one to keep on hand as an easy to pair, easy to drink go to Kolsch.

A: Pours a relatively clear pale to medium yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and faint straw yellow + lemon yellow colored highlights. The beer has a four finger tall dense sudsy pillowy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a medium to large sized patch of thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of cracker + bready malts with a hint of grainy sweetness, hints of light fruit (green grape) yeast, and a light aroma of grassy hops.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of cracker + bready malts with a hint of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of light fruit (green grape) yeast. Finally there are slightly heavier than light flavors of grassy hops which impart a slightly heavier than light amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol, refreshing + crisp, and sessionable. Enjoyable with that light amount of green grape presence that makes it a little different than some other examples of the style.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation along with some particulates floating in suspension. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that quickly settled down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of green grapes are present in the nose along with hints of cracker malts.
T: The taste follows the smell, starting out with flavors of green grapes and finishing off with notes of cracker malts and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the bodied and has a moderate amount of carbonation. No dryness is perceptible.
O: This beer has has lots of aromas and flavors of green grapes and has less in the way of malts compared to other beers in the style.
