This reverse engineered, wild Berliner-style Weisse is a German-style sour that is very pale in color and is the lightest of all German wheat beers. The unique combination of wild yeast and lactic fermentation yields a beer that is acidic, lemony-tart, highly-attenuated and very light bodied. The carbonation of this Berliner-Weisse is high, and hop rates are low.

First had at The Kettle Black Kitchen & Pub, Phoenix, on draft into pint tumbler.
My first beer from DESTIHL, this is true to style, most notably in ABV.

A slightly hazy straw gold pour produces a vigorous head that disappears with champagne-like quickness. It smells lemony tart and drinks like a highly carbonated unsweetened lemonade with a little wheat and malt character in the background to soften the edges somewhat. Counter ClockWeisse’s puckering tartness and champagne-like effervescence makes a very refreshing companion for a long afternoon.

Unknown vintage; drank 11/2/15 @ the Yarchives.
A rough pour yielded a HUGE, noisy bright white head which quickly dissipated; minimal lace. Lemon & honeycomb notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Lemon & faint pineapple flavors up front; SUPER tart lemon finish. Nice fruit flavors, but this was way too tart for my timid tongue to truly embrace.

12 oz can
Pours a clear, very light lemon gold. White lacing for a head dissipates to nothing.
Smells of lemon, cracker, and cereal grains.
Tastes of very tart lemon citrus over cereal malts.
Light body with a light tingle of carbonation.
As is standard with this series, this is incredibly tart, among the most tart beers you can find. Outside of that, it's otherwise a very light wheat beer without much else to it. Very easy to drink if you can handle the tartness. Not much else to say about it, really.
