Poured into a 14oz Sam Adams glass.

I bought this beer blind in a make-your-own-six-pack deal, with no idea of even the style. Upon opening the bottle, the pleasant aroma hit me right away - straw, a bit of metallicity, and a surprising amount of light malt. Upon pouring, I noticed that it has a wonderful golden color but is easily the most transparent beer I have ever seen - Sprite is more opaque. Still, it has a nice roughly 1" head to it, and plenty of carbonation. This is what Bud Light wishes it looked like.

The taste isn't terribly complex, but it's just the right level of strength for what it does - quite lemony, with just enough body to not be off and a just-malty-enough finish. The hop bite is more of a playful nip, and the focus is on the smooth drinkability moreso than anything remotely approaching complexity. Sadly, the mouthfeel and aftertaste are a bit of a letdown, ending up feeling and tasting starchy.

Overall, if I lived in the area this stuff comes from, this would be the beer I'd want to bring with me in a cooler to go out camping or fishing rather than to drink at home or try and pair with anything. It's like baby bear's porridge: not too much of anything, not too little, it's juuust right... But in the end it's still just porridge.

Golden/straw in color with a mostly clear body, Supper Club offers a nose of pale malt, honey, corn, and a touch of sweetness. The white head of foam is slight and doesn’t last long, but it does leave a thin coating on top of your glass as you drink.

Moving on to the taste, this beer offers the flavor of sweet grains, lightly spiced hops, biscuits, and yeast. I could even taste some light tropical fruits and apple in the background. There is a perfumey nature to the taste that isn’t necessarily bad, but not all that positive, either.

This beer is a decent representation of a style of beer I don’t normally care for. It is better than most other lagers on the market, but doesn’t approach the artisan level of some of the better craft- brewed lagers. It’s okay overall, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to sample.
