Appearance: Pours a warm amber with red highlights and perfect clarity. It's light tan head starts thick, then fades to an incomplete cap that leaves lace here and there.
Smell: The aroma is grainy with some toasted bread and Vienna malt notes. A hint of spicy German hops serves to balance everything out.
Taste: Very rich and malty, with warm toasted breadiness, faint caramel/toffee, and Vienna malt forming the grain bill. The hops adds a pinch of bitterness, along with a spicy bite. Very clean and crisp. Finishes with a fleeting bitter note.
Mouthfeel: While this brew is extremely clean, like all of Capital's offerings, they share a common flaw: thinness of body. Finishes dry and crisp.
Drinkability: This is a solid brew that would make a great session brew. It's also good for converting people to better beer.
