Pours a clear amber in color with a very thick off-white head that eventually shrinks to nothing. The nose is somewhat hard to distinguish. The aroma has a malt presence to it and a unique spiciness. There's some very feint floral hops. The mouthfeel is medium in body with a sharp carbonation to it. The taste has a light malt character up front. It soon transitions into a more hoppy and spiced bitterness. Spiciness is quite pronounced toward the back. Some alcohol lingers in the finish.
Overall a very solid Maibock. Nothing flashy, but it doesn't have to be. Just an all-around good beer.

On-tap at Panther's Pub in Greendale, WI:
Pours clear amber with a thin, lasting creamy head that leaves plenty of lacing.
The smell is mild, but there is some toasted malt that is inviting enough.
The taste is of toasted sweet caramelized bread with an earthy, subdued fruity bitter-ish balance in the warming finish.
It is creamy smooth. Carbonation level fits it very well.
This is an excellent example of the style. Sweet leaning, malty, but with balance, toasty, mildly warming and easily drinkable. A great spring offering!
