Pours and looks like a typical beer, not a lot of foam with my slow pour, clear dark amber. Pretty good, but kind of what I expect.
Smells good and bad at the same time. Hoppy and clean with a slight musty smell I'm not liking a whole lot. It's faint, and overall not bad.
Taste matches the smell - malty, hoppy, nice character, but a bit of mustiness.
Mouthfeel is nice and fresh.
Finish is slightly bitter, but there is no ugly aftertaste.
This is not a bad offering, and if you see it available give it a try. It would be easy to drink a few. It isn't worth spending time seeking out, though.

On-tap at Panther's Pub in Greendale, WI:
Pours clear amber with a thin, lasting creamy head that leaves plenty of lacing.
The smell is mild, but there is some toasted malt that is inviting enough.
The taste is of toasted sweet caramelized bread with an earthy, subdued fruity bitter-ish balance in the warming finish.
It is creamy smooth. Carbonation level fits it very well.
This is an excellent example of the style. Sweet leaning, malty, but with balance, toasty, mildly warming and easily drinkable. A great spring offering!
