Nice little place, a bit dark on a bright Saturday afternoon. No tap menu on the wall anywhere, only on menus at table or at the bar. Over twenty taps with 3 house beers. Decent enough beer.

Excellent beers, and a diversity of styles: IPAs, sours, Germans, even a bitter. 20ish beers on offer, including 1-2 on cask. Food was above average and not just standard pub food; I’ve eaten there multiple times, the chili has been my fav so far. Very lively at night with loud music and a lot of conversation, but it also played the role of lunch stop very well. Great, no-lingual service. One of my fav places in Montreal. Edit 2023: still amazing. Visited four times this trip. Honestly, it’s about all you can ask for in a brewpub.

Came here on a recent work trip to Montreal.

Had the following beers on tap:
Isle de Garde Bitter Ordinaire
Isle de Garde Une Saison
Isle de Garde IPA Américaine
Isle de Garde English Brown Ale
Isle de Garde Stout à l'Avoine

Beer quality was stellar, while service was quick and competent. Also had a lovely meal here, and a wonderful, lengthy chat with one of the patrons. The laid back, dimly lit ambience is right in my wheelhouse. My overall experience was fabulous, and I would definitely come back.

A small, comfortable bar and restaurant - the meal was too well prepared and presented to pass off as a mere brewpub. The two beers I tried, a brut IPA and a saison, were both better than passable. Service was excellent, timely and attentive but not overbearing. The place was pretty much full on a Sunday night which speaks well of them but didn't feel cramped or claustrophobic and the noise level was low enough that we could have a conversation without being aware of the people around us.
Good beer, excellent meal, and magnificent hosts - thanks again, J. and M. for your gracious hospitality!

A nice medium-sized bar a couple blocks from Metro Beaubien with a big tap list, food and quite a few bottles (a decent chunk of which you won't find much elsewhere in town). Their tap system can do proper temperature for each style which is really nice, as well (hence another reviewer thinking the bitter was too warm, haha). The beers are mainly in-house, but there are some guest taps and collaborations as well. As far as I know their beer is contract-brewed at Loup Rouge, but they are going to expand a little and start brewing on site soon. I only had a couple beers, but they were solidly made, to style and enjoyable. The food looks/sounds amazing, but I didn't try any. It's a little pricey and the ambiance (not limited to this one place) is not my favorite. I will be back. Well worth a visit if you are passing by.

The good: servers know their beer. Attractive 24 taps concentrating on vg guest taps. Great bottle list at very fair prices. Location. People liked the food. Sizeable for a new place. Needs improvement: took a while till server recognized a customer in house. Accused of taking another couple’s seats when i asked other patrons who said they left. I didn’t like the gas mixture on most beers and at least a couple were around too long and beer manager agreed. In word, lots of potential.

Hi,
the place was full when we arrived, that's a good sign !
I had their Bitter wich was good but too flat for me, and not cold enought
for my taste, but overall it was good. I had the one offer in cask that day wich was also good.
I had an hamburger and it was delicious. Cool place, cool people, a bit pricey.

I stopped in IdG with Marc, a friend of the owner, during off-hours. It seemed like a very nice bar that I'd definitely like to visit when it was actually open. The owner seemed nice and knowledgeable, and he let me sample a couple of the beers that were on at the time. There were quite a few choices from the craft world, and a good variety of styles. Taste-wise, the house beers seemed fairly basic, but good for a start. Hopefully this place blossoms, because it seems to have some good potential!
