A: The beer poured a hazy, orange that produced an amazing, dense, thick, rocky head that was retained throughout the beer.
S: The aroma was mainly yeasty and malty sweet with hints of citrus and perhaps an earthy aroma, grass or flower.
T: The taste of the beer is outstanding, exactly what I would expect for this style. A very nice Belgian yeast flavor with nice hints of the citrus hops that had a nice bit to it that finished with a nice long lasting dry finish. The beer also had a slight taste of alcohol as the beer warmed.
Overall, this is an excellent beer that was extremely easy to drink. It was smooth and crisp and a lighter body than most Belgian beers. Back to the beer store to pick up more. A must try for anyone who loves good Belgian beers.

Poured from 12oz bottle into ommegang chalice
A-pours a beautiful gold/orange with a fat fluffy head so large couldn't do it in one straight pour. The head looks like a creamy cloud floating on top on a beautiful golden river.
S-Nice fruity scent, seems to be a mix between malt and yeast scents. Maybe a hint of spicy hops, or some sort of spice.
turning on some Clapton to enjoy this one to. "and i say yes, you look wonderful tonight" sounds like this beer.
T-A bit citrusy, definitely a malty beer. Very spicy hop at the end. Not bitter at all though. Very citrusy malt up front bringing the citrus out towards the middle, while introducing a spice note to build into the finish.
MF-Nice medium body, a bit creamy on the aftertaste but with a dryness in the mouth.
O-I have never had a belgian pale ale before. I have had a handful of other belgians though and this is much different. Not in a bad way though. I think this is a pretty good beer overall, nothing incredible, I would prefer an amercan pale ale, but this is still a very fine beer I wouldn't mind having at anytime.

Bottled on 12-30-2009 and best before 12-30-2014.
Appearance - Poured only half the bottle and it foamed over the top.. 2 inches of soapy looking foam, dissipating very slowly. The color is copper.
Smell - Dark fruits and bitterness is most dominant. Also earthy and has a little funky/musty aroma. I think I smell some clove too.
Taste - Very bitter.. with floral hops. Citrus, tartiness, clove, and some other spices.
Mouthfeel - Medium body with high carbonation.
Overall - Not really what I was expecting. I'd like it better without the spices.
