From notes. Served in an approx. 4oz taster glass as part of a sampler tray at the brewery. This is described as a "single hop session IPA," by the brewery, one of several local beers recently released using the Comet hop.
Chill-hazed copper-amber color, with an off-white head. Spotty, streaky lace.
Citrusy and herbal hop aroma, at about even potency.
The taste starts out with the by-now-familiar for the style grapefruity hop flavor, then mutates into an herbal, bitter hop blast.
Medium bodied, with an oily, resiny mouthfeel.
I think I'm not a fan of this hop. It starts out pleasant enough, then midway through it turns bitter in the way I'm not a fan of. I guess that's the brakes with a single hop to rise or fall by. I was curious about the Comet hop. Now that I'm no longer curious, I think I'll pas it by in the future.

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a little haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam. Not bad.
Smell: light, citrusy hop aroma. Not overly complex, but for a session IPA it works.
Taste: earthy, piney hop flavor contrasts with the aroma a little bit. Bitterness is actually relatively strong on this one.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a perfectly cromulent session IPA. I seem to have rated this a lot higher than other reviewers ... maybe I just like the session IPA style? Who knows.

C - nice golden color with a white head, nice lacing. A - pleasant hop aroma. T - initially a nice citrusy taste, but it seems to get more bitter in the aftertaste, and a touch harsh. M - pretty full bodied for an IPA. O - not a bad beer, but not my favorite IPA.
