Best selection I've found in Atlanta. Tons of different beers with fair prices. Lots of lambics, local beers, sam smith, Rogue and many others. Also had a few bottles of mead, I grabbed one to check it out. Many singles available, but breaking up six-packs isn't permitted. I didn't notice any expired beers and no dust on the beers. I was asked if I needed help and when I said "no" they left me alone. (That's a good thing) A little out of my way but I'll definitely stop in again.

If you happen to be around midtown its a great place to stop.
The area its not the most fancy one and i happened to drive by when on my way to the Wrecking Pub, they got a pretty good selection of local and imports, great prices when compared to Wine and More and even some sales, i got an Ommegang box with 3 or 4 beers + a glass for a mere 11 bucks, they have a pretty good selection of Belgian beers on a separated room and even there they had some stuff on sale.
Didn't ask for help but it appears only a couple of the employees know their trade

Since Green's has added a walk in beer cooler full of single beers I've been going there at least 3 times a week. There's prob around 500 different beers there from all over the world so there is a great selection to choose from. In the room they also have a table set up on beer advocate so it makes it great to do a quick look up on a new beer. they also have a cash and debit price so bring cash to get a better deal. outside of the walk in cooler they also have a decent selection of 4 packs and six packs that are not you typical grocery store beers. As far as knowledgeable beer associates its kinda hard to find one. Not to sound racist by any means but this location is kinda in the ghetto and mostly black people working there and none of them have ever been any help with picking out a new beer, but the two white guys I've seen working there have been very knowledgeable of the beers they have, again not to be racist but that is just how it is there ;P . the staff has always been very friendly and it is a total pleasure to shop here. I go here instead of the larger beer/liquor stores like tower wine.
Green's will also order in a case of bottles if you are looking for something that they don"t carry. so just let them know and in a week or so they should have some available.

Atmosphere: I mean, it's a beer/booze store, so not much to say - it's in a neighborhood that is kind of on the cusp of decent (getting a little bourgeois) to rough (I wouldn't walk there at night unless I was carrying). The store is cool though, decently organized. I do wish there was more space, though. It's tight in spots but being in the middle of a city, you do what you've gotta do with the space available.
Quality: Fair, lots of Georgia beers along with the BMC stuff, but there's a walk-in cooler with their Belgians and some other imports. If I had more of a disposal income, I'd make a dent in it.
Service: Again, not a whole lot to say about it -- they don't really do much other than stock the shelves and check out the customers, but at this point in my life, that's all I ask for.
Selection: Hinted at above, lots of Georgia beers and a decent selection of imports in the cooler. Also, on a side note, decent whiskey/bourbon selection that always draws my attention as well -- getting some stuff from distilleries I didn't think I'd find outside of KY.
Value: Decent - carry cash if you want the better price on items though as they've got a discount offered for those that pay with the green stuff. I don't think anyone would walk out feeling ripped off.

Stopped into Greens on a trip for work. I did a bit of research before going, just so I could bring back some stuff I cant get here on the west coast. I was really impressed/excited by the selection they have in the store. All the little treats I cant ever get in LA (BORIS, DORIS, Southern Tier, Terrapin, DuckRabbit, Various Belgian labels) The store is really an average liquor store, which doesnt bother me, as the beer selection is damn nice. I will say that the service was very friendly, but that's not hard to say when you live in LA, land of ignorance and indifference. I had a bottle of Jah-Va in my hand, and as I was checking out, the beer guy noticed my ST bottle and came up with a box of Creme Brulee and asked if I wanted one, as it just came in 5 mins ago... OF COURSE I DO! We chatted for a minute, and off I went to the airport. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here to Greens. I will definitely make a stop anytime I'm in Atlanta. Now to just bring a much bigger suitcase next time!

I missed an opportunity to stop in a little over a year ago when I had a cancelled flight and rented a car to get home, so when the wife and I had a weekend getaway to Atlanta a few weeks ago, I decided to remedy the situation. I was not disappointed. Possibly one of the best beer selections I've personally seen. Ton's offerings from American Craft breweries. Too many to list. With the poor selection available in Mississippi, a place like Green's is a nirvana. The store is a mix of liquor mart, domestic brews, and a well rounded selection of imports and domestic craft. They even have a walk in cellar of primarily Belgians. While it is small and cozy, it was well stocked with a wide variety of Belgian offerings.
The service was fair. They obviously have a beer guy on staff, and he did ask a couple of times if he could help me. He also made a couple of recommendations. It was a Saturday night and late at that, so the place was well packed.
All in all, a great place to shop. Anytime I find myself in ATL, I will be sure to stop in and make a purchase. This trip unfortunately, too little time, too little money.

I picked up a bevy of fine beverages while visiting Atlanta a while back. Definitely some great Belgian and American selections, and a broad array of choices for the out-of-towner.
Prices were great, very competitive with anything else I've seen locally here or elsewhere. As mentioned by other reviewers, they would do well to get some of that beer out of the sun, but the selection was on pointe.
As a guy who does most of his quaffing at home, prefers a cheap "beer warehouse" style place with a great selection, and could really care less about atmosphere and service, Green's does the job. I would definitely stop by if you're in the area.
