A: golden orange, slightly hazy
S: Good tropical punch, def citra hops loaded.
T: fruits, hops, and a bit salty.
F: fair amount of carbonation. chewy
O: Pretty decent attempt at an all Citra DIPA. Could use some refining but it is on the right track.

On tap at Gourmet Haus in Redwood City.
SUPER excited when I saw this becuase their 650 IPA has been dialed in so well, that IMHO it rivals any of BA's top 10.
Onto the beer in discussion, Citra BRO!
All the flavors are right. Juicy candied oranges, pineapple, tangerine & a passion fruit - Guava thing going on. Dank. Booze!
Smell the same. Pungent and ripe.
This beer is faulted on not masking the booze well at all. Granted it's 9.5%ABV but I've had 11% DIPAs do a better job hiding the booziness. It really takes away from everything else it has going for it. The flavor of alcohol equals everything the hops bring to the table.
Other than that, again. Everything else is great. This beer has a lot of potential. The next batch will get cleaned up some I'm sure....

Draft @ Ale Arsenal on 2/4/15. Pours golden in color with 1 finger of white head and nice lacing. Aroma is guava, mango, pineapple and citrus…tropical bliss! Beer is medium bodied, smooth, but not fully clarified. Palate is piney bitterness, with a fair amount of citrus, mango and malty sweetness. This is a nicely balanced DIPA and very easy to drink.

Served in a Teku glass at Ale Arsenal.
A: Clear-pale gold with a bit of head and nice lacing.
S: Juicy as hell. Sweet, bright, fruity, and fresh. Good stuff.
T: In a word-- yum. I expect a bit of sweetness from DIPAs, but this edges a bit more to the candyish than anticipated. The 100% Citra hop bill is providing a lot of juiciness (a LOT) but very little detectable bitterness. This will be a boon to many, but I miss the bitter edge. Candied mango and a touch of earthiness.
M: Smooth and full and pleasant.
O: Alpha Acid is killing it -- the 650 IPA is getting better each batch, and Belmonterweisse is basically perfect -- and this beer is no exception. Granted, a consummate double IPA exclusively utilizing my second-favorite hop was unlikely to go amiss, but it's always nice to be pandered to. Highly recommended to people that like beer.
