Served on tap at the JAX Seven Bridges location.

Clear dark amber color; Excellent clarity; Small and semi-durable off-white head. Almost no lacing.

Medium body with near medium carbonation. A bit astringent.

Aroma: mostly herbal-piney-fruity hops with a hint of roasted malts.

Flavor: average level of hoppiness, with a flavor component that is perhaps more English than American. Lasting hoppy aftertaste.

A: brown/orange with yellow tinge. Thick single finger head. Lacing left at the end.

S: a touch of grapefruit. Earthy and hop notes. Malty start and mildly bitter finish.

T: bitter hops. Little citrus.

M: easy to drink. Moderate carbonation and medium bodied.

Overall: Very drinkable. I second some reports of the inconsistency but overall a solid brew in a nice year-round assortment.

I somewhat new to the cask experience, but I am a fan of IPAs. I tried this one to see what my impression would be, and it was as expected. This is the only place I know that offers cask ale in Jax, nice work 7B!
A 4.5 Excellent head & retention. Caramel orange/amber in color.
S 4.5 Hop fruityness going on, dee-lish!
T 4.5 Taste is very bold and unique I am guessing due somewhat to the cask serving style. Bold dark fruit hop/maltyness. Unlike any IPA to date, bold and complex, wayyyy beyond just "bitter". In one word - complex.
MF 4.0 Low carbo as expected. warm on palate. full bodied. All seem appropraite for cask, but just not my thing.
D 3.5 I enjoyed the brew for the appearance, taste and smell. I am not yet into the whole low carbo, warm "real ale" cask style. I am thankfull 7B offers this, but it's still not my thing so I had to mark down this catergory.

Otherwise a very fine brew, nice work Eric!

7 bridges Toll Tender IPA
4.5 coppery amber, two-finger tan head that remains at least one-finger almost the whole way through, leaving lace here and there.
3.5 not bold, but interestingly earthy due to the use of fuggles hops.
3.5 seems well-made but reserved. the hops come off a little bland, and bitterness is not noticeable enough. the fairly anonymous malt is there to balance the beer, but it results in something like a sparsely populated stage. it's decent, more of an english than typical american ipa, but it doesn't quite endear.
4 easy-going carbonation in a nice medium body.
3.5 GB should get credit for doing something other than a west coast style IPA. enjoyable enough if not brilliant.

A - A small, off-white head with nice lace on a clear, amber body.

S - Aroma of mild caramel malt and spicy citrus hops.

T - Clean maltiness up front followed by citrus hops and fruity yeast. Lingering bitterness in the finish.

M - Smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, and a somewhat dry finish.

D - Easily drinkable. The quality is kind of inconsistent, one week the beer is cloudy and muddy tasting, and the next it might be fresh, hoppy and clear. Fortunately it is good today.

A pint of Seven Bridges' Toll House IPA poured into pint glass.

The beer's appearance was quite nice: a simple amber color with an off white colored, two finger sized head that clung to the side of the glass. The nose was disapointing in the sense that just a hint of lightly piney hoppiness came through behind a fair malty sweetness. This was a medium bodied brew with a solid malt backing on a simple hopped beer. This is not a hop bomb, and it's more English than American IPA. It's not a horrible IPA, butbetters exist.

A light amber in appearance with a white head. This beer had a clean toasted bread aroma with some caramel sweetness and little hops. The flavor was malty as well with sweet caramel flavor and a slight hop finish. There was decent bitterness, but the beer lacked the body I'd expect with an IPA. A pretty good IPA, but not something I'd get too excited about.

The beer was poured(hand drawn) in a tulip pint glass. It was presented with a very attractive clingy 1 1/2 finger creamy white head and was of a hazy medium dark reddish-yellow color. It had a very pleasant faintly earthy slightly perfumey fresh whole hop smell. The mouthfeel was typical cask conditioned very pleasant silky smooth full and rounded. The flavor was more balanced than most IPAs. A pleasant whole hop bitterness with just enough (breadlike?) malt to balance, but not so much to make it a Pale ale. I was really jonesing to take some home in a growler but alas no takeouts here so I just took memories until next time..... The brewpub is listed as Seven Bridges but was apparently bought out by Gordon Biersch.
