I love a good Framboise and i mean i really do and this one pours a red raspberry hue with nice carbonation that leaves behind a two finger head that slowly recedes to leave a layer of pink tinged smog across the top and a sporadic rim of clingy lacing, since i love Raspberry jam i really do love the smell of this brew as its basically exactly that with a hint of wheat, the mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated with tastes of raspberry jam predominately with also hints of feint wheat and some sour funk but other than that the raspberries predominate this brew and lucky for me i love raspberries but if you dont i would not recommend this brew but if you do your in for a treat and for me its very drinkable.

This was labelled "Furesø Framboise" when I had it, and was 5.0% ABV, not 5.3%. Served on-draught into a 25cl stem-goblet at Norrebro. Reviewed from notes.

A: Pours a two finger pink head of nice soft cream, pretty good thickness, and bad retention. Colour is a solid nontransparent dark red.

Sm: Raspberry, cream, and caramelized malt. Aroma is mild in strength.

T: Raspberry hops, nicely sweet, and slightly sour. Pretty simple, but very nice. Balanced and well built.

Mf: Smooth and wet. Nicely complementary of the flavour.

Dr: Not a high ABV. Easy to drink for a fair price by Danish standards. I'd certainly have it again. Wonderfully done for a lambic.

On-tap at Norrebro Bryghus in Copenhagen.

Pours a bright red color with a 1.5-finger light pink head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving decent lacing.

Smells of pureed raspberries backed up by nondescript malts. As the beer warms the aromas become slightly tarter.

Tastes similar to how it smells. Sweet raspberry flavors with hints of brighter strawberry flavors kick things off. Midway through the sip the flavors sour up just a bit, carrying through to an equally tart and sweet ending.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a solid thickness with active carbonation.

Drinkability is also good. I didn't have any problems finishing my glass and could have another.

Overall this wasn't an exceptional beer for the style by any means but the tart and sweet flavors were nicely evened out. Worth a shot.
