Another 20oz tall tapering stein, at Mr. Mike's West Ed location, their house ale.

This beer appears a clear, medium copper amber colour, with one fat finger of foamy, fuzzy off-white head, which leaves a decent wall of pockmarked lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.

It smells meekly of bready caramel malt, a soft, innocuous drupe fruitiness, and weedy, leafy hops. The taste is biscuity pale malt, sourdough, a touch of dry crackery breadiness, an ethereal savoury spiciness, and soft weedy, grassy hops.

The bubbles are a bit frizzy, but level off well enough, the body on the lee side of medium weight, and kind of tight in its plain Jane smoothness. It finishes rather dry, crackery, and fading in its hoppiness.

A barely above version of the style, and thus serviceable for its adopted environment. Once again, this could very well be OSB's Pale Ale, just sayin'. (882 characters)

On tap and brewed for Mr. Mike's Steakhouse Casual - Yorkton, SK

Amber-light brown colored ale topped with a frothy, ivory colored head that holds good retention and leaves some lacing at the top of the glass. Aroma is sweet with toasted grain, bread, caramel, yeast, and slightly metallic. Taste is similar to aroma with more toasty grain, sweet caramel, brown sugar, slight grassy/herbal hop. Medium bodied and sticky sweet on the palate; nice balance. Overall, nice amber ale; nothing to complain about here. (512 characters)
