A - Pours a bright clear yellow. 2 fingers of fizzy head, doesn't stick around. No retention, no lacing.
S - Pale malt. Corn maybe.
T - DMS (corn). Not much here, very pale malt and a very slight bitterness. Finishes a bit sweet for me. Not a fan of the aftertaste either.
M - Light, little body.
D - Almost drinkable, but I think I dumped the last bit.
Having a tough time with this one. Definitely below average for beers I drink, but I guess average or above for what is commonly sold in the beer store.

Pint on tap at a Calgary pub. Color is somewhere between bright yellow yellow and light amber, with some large white bubbles that broke relatively quickly. Effervescent and fizzy, with a meager aroma of grain husks, light toffee and vanilla, vaguely sweet and with a hint of noble-type hop spice. Palate is similar, grainy and dry with a little buttered bread sweetness, hints of vanilla, a little chewy but basically drinks like a macro-brewed lager. Not a fabulous offering from Mill St.... Coarse and haggard, does nothing to earn the "stock ale" moniker. Might be a decent starter craft brew for the trepidation-fueled lager drinker.
