341ml bottle poured into pint glass aug15 2009
A not quite crystal clear straw yellow with not much head at all
S sweet grains, some faint hops, maybe some apple not much else
T sweet grains balanced with mild hops. nothing special at least there was no skunk with the clear bottle
M/D very light ale, thin but easy too drink
not the worst thing you could drink on a warm day, not the best thing either. over all fairly average

Pint on tap at a Calgary pub. Color is somewhere between bright yellow yellow and light amber, with some large white bubbles that broke relatively quickly. Effervescent and fizzy, with a meager aroma of grain husks, light toffee and vanilla, vaguely sweet and with a hint of noble-type hop spice. Palate is similar, grainy and dry with a little buttered bread sweetness, hints of vanilla, a little chewy but basically drinks like a macro-brewed lager. Not a fabulous offering from Mill St.... Coarse and haggard, does nothing to earn the "stock ale" moniker. Might be a decent starter craft brew for the trepidation-fueled lager drinker.
