Clear amber with a small head. Spicy malt and vanilla nose. Lighter wheaten body with pleasant pumpkin spices. Crisp not cloying finish.

I’ve had this brew a few times on tap but this is the first time I bought it in bottles to try a few in a row and really evaluate it. The verdict is in – this is a very modest but decent pumpkin ale. Pours a shimmering orange-amber color with an off-white cap. Pungent aromas of pumpkin spice, grains and musty herbaceous pumpkin. Between the spices, hops and carbonation, the front side of the flavor profile is very mellow as the malt and pumpkin tastes arrive to give some fair balance and light complexity. The finish is bready-spicy clean with . A decent Canadian pumpkin ale

Pours a clear, deep brown body, with just a touch of pearly, white head with no real structure. On the nose, a faint light malt is stepped up with cinnamon and clove spice, though the overall intensity here is pretty low. On the palate, the beer is very crisp, presenting more warm spice with a bit of cardamom being pulled in as well here. A nice warm finish as well. One of the few pumpkin beers I can really get behind.

Well the name is cool!!! I tried this one 3 or 4 different times, a couple each time. I really tried to like it. I just couldn't get a taste for it. I'd name 5 other pumpkin ales which I like better.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 8/19/2015. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, vanilla, brown sugar, caramel, wheat, gingerbread, light chocolate, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great complexity and balance of pumpkin, spices, and dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, vanilla, brown sugar, caramel, wheat, gingerbread, light chocolate, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Minimal herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, gingerbread, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness, complexity, and balance of pumpkin, spices, and dark/bready malt flavors; with no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/bready, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very nice session pumpkin wheat ale style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of pumpkin, spices, and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

355 ml bottle purchased from the LCBO as part of the fall seasonal pack. Served cold into a tulip.

Appearance - Dark copper color with honey brown. very hazy and topped with nearly two fingers of ivory head, surprisingly good retention and a nice soapy ring of lacing left behind.

Smell - Tons of brown sugar, a hint of cinnamon followed by pumpkin with some other pie spices. Quite aromatic but not overdone with the spices, since the brown sugar is the star.

Taste - Interesting blend, brown sugar, a powdery grain flavor that vaguely reminds me of fresh donuts, some pie spice with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg. Pumpkin flavor isn't big but there's a slightly earthy presence to the whole beer where the gourd makes itself known.

Mouthfeel - Smooth and creamy, modest carbonation and a nice refreshing light body.

Overall - Very impressed with this well constructed and subtle beer that is full of unique flavors. Not enjoying a beer where brown sugar is the star made this a new experience and one I'd recommend. If the Oktoberfest is as good as the Nightmare on mill Street, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is one of the best seasonals that Mill Street has ever released.
