Pours a deep, hazy, copper body, with a brief high soapy head that quickly decays to nothing. Aromas of malted wheat and barley, along with a faint blueberry flower scent prevail on the nose, with a slightly earthy hoppy note lingering. The taste profile is quite similar to other wheat ales at first, with crisp, cutting malts, but following that comes a long, floral and fruity finish, that does so without being overbearingly sweet in the slightest. Really nice finish and decent mouthfeel. Not usually one to be so pro-fruit beer, but this is a good demonstration!

355 ml bottle as part of the 2017 Summer Pack. Served cold into a tulip. Review from notes.

Appearance - Pale, reddish colour, sort of a blue-ish and purple hue too. No head to speak of and what there is lasts mere moments. A little hazy.

Smell - Some wheat and blueberry, but not like blueberry muffins. Thin smelling.

Taste - Thin again with a slight vegetative characteristic and not much blueberry.

Mouthfeel - Thin and watery, but not even refreshing. Carbonation is medium.

Overall - A disappointment and probably the weakest of the summer pack.

Pours a rusty grapefruit red colour (kinda cool in an offbeat way) with a moderate short-lived head. Very bubbly, spritzy, almost like a soda.

I'm not fussy on this style as it comes across as quite artificial in character. Metallic & biting to the point of distraction when it comes to other characteristics of the beer. Reminds me some of KLB Raspberry Wheat.

Wheat on the nose and to taste. Not really that much in the way of blueberry presence. Thin bodied, slightly bitter. Metallic. Overall, pretty meh.

Appearance- Pours a hazy berry colour with a 1/4 finger width of slightly pink head.

Smell- Blueberries, lemon peel, wheat, grains.

Taste- Predominately wheat with a hint of blueberry. The finish is on the grassy side. Not as much blueberry flavour as the colour would lead you to believe.

Mouthfeel- Medium bodied with light prickly bubbles. A dry finish.

Overall- An enjoyable wheat beer by Mill Street. Impressed by the colour upon pouring, however, it is lacking in the tart blueberry flavour department.

On tap at Nick & Nat's in Waterloo. Referred to solely as "blueberry wheat", but I can't imagine the Mill Street portfolio needing two versions, so am assuming the word "Walker's" was just missed.

I am not a big fruit beer fan, but found this very inoffensive and much more flavourful than the second draught choice (Lugtread). Pours a disconcerting purplish blue colour. It's not at all hazy and has a slightly bruise-tinged head.

Mild aroma is more bready, malted barley than wheat or blueberry-forward. Sounds odd for the variety of beer, but that was the factor that allowed me to order this second pint. Flavour is well balanced, mild and totally inoffensive. Hints of fruit, barley & wheat and even some hop bitternessat the finish - the latter being a pleasant surprise - but nothing overwhelming on any point.

Another treat in their summer mixer pack...

A - Pours a hazy pink colour, finger of head with little retention and no real lacing.

S - Mild on the nose with wheat dominating, hints of citrus and no real detectable blueberries on the nose.

T - The wheat flavours and bready notes dominate, citrus hops are mildly detected amongst muddled earthy greens and hints of berries. Again, the berries are so subdued, they're difficult to detect.

M - Medium bodied, smooth and a touch of dry on the finish.

O - For a blueberry ale, this is the opposite extreme of artificial. I struggled to detect the berries, and really it comes across more of a traditional wheat than anything else.

355ml bottle, part of the Mill Street summer mix pack here in Alberta.

This beer pours a cloudy, opaque pinkish amber colour, with swirling peppery sediment, and one finger of pink-tinged white head, which leaves some amorphous, thickly webbed lace around the glass as things sink away.

It smells of bready, somewhat crackery malt, a very soft black fruitiness, and mild earthy, weedy hops. The taste is nice, softly grainy, kind of bready, wheaty malt, a subtle semi-sweet blueberry fruitiness, and agreeably tame leafy hops.

The carbonation is average, and innocuously spread out, the body on the light side of medium weight, and more or less smooth. It finishes off-dry, the fruity sweetness lingering amongst the steadily fleeting wheaty malt.

An enjoyable enough wheat ale, the blueberry guest doing its best to engage, but not overstay its welcome, and mostly succeeding. My only complaint would be that the blueberries are a tad too unassuming, and that this beer could have borne more of their summery goodness.

Thanks Jay for sharing this one! Served in a tumbler glass.
Rocky head of white foam that has a pinkish tint to it. Reddish orange color, some suspended sediment is visible.

Minerally wheat aroma, slight berry acidity, dry and authentic, no sugar dumped in thankfully. Clean and fresh feel, light bodied with a mild berry presence, though its not distinctively blueberry. More of a fruit rollup vibe going on. Still, the simple combo of wheat and fruit works here.

Overall a quenching fruit beer that has some authenticity to it.
For what it is, you can tell they used real fruit and didn't add syrups, there's nothing artificial about it.
