This beer is sort of a Belgium pale ale light. It has all the flavor and mouth feel of a Belgium but just backed off a few notches. It has a light yeasty flavor that has an intersting cinamin hint at the finish. Slightly hopped that gets more noticable after the 3-4 glass. Nice color. Enjoyed this all night playing cards.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.

This thing was mispronounced a couple times before it ever hit the bar. It pours a clear amber topped by about a finger or so of dirty white foam. The nose comprises a forest of fake pine trees (akin to a bucketful of straight Pine-Sol), mint, toffee, and brown sugar. The taste holds notes of caramel, pine, clove, banana, and miscellaneous greens. The body is a light medium with a rather light moderate carbonation. Overall, the smell really brings this one down a bit. Once you get past it, though, it does become pretty drinkable, but that doubt remains in the back of your mind the whole time.

Served in a pint glass at Lunar

This beer pours a pale orange copperish color with a thin but reasonable head. The smell is mainly of bananas and the other fixings found in the belgian yeast varieties. Though I wouldn't go to say it's strong at all or complex for that matter. The taste is rather nice keeps along the same lines though it has a nice sweetness to it. The mouthfeel is a tad on the dry side for my liking but not really all that bad. This is a good beer to enjoy and a decent representation of the style.

POurs a hazey copper color, good head for the first ten sips, but eventually goes to nothing. The aroma is a strong mineral and malt note. Like sweet bread and hard water. The taste reminds of light candi sugar and even lighter toasted malts. I'm thinking a lot of dry, lighty toasted malts in the first sip in the front of the tongue. The middle and finish evolves into a slightly sweeter malt character, with the ops addinga note of dry bitterness to the malt bill.

Served in a pint glass.

Excessive foam from the tap delayed the pour, and it arrived with a rocky, soapy head of foam. As the glass emptied, there were sparkly bits of lacing left around the edge of the glass. The color was golden amber. Aroma was of mild, floral hops.

Carbonation was low, like a real ale, and it's flavor was somewhat tea-like. It had a bit of a bland, papery malt character that was a little disappointing. However, it was smooth and easy to drink, possibly a good session option instead of lager.

(Served in a chalice)

A- This beer has a thick creamy off-white head that sticks to the glass and last for a good bit. There is a dense body that glows a golden brown hue with a very gentle carbonation in there. There is good lacing with each sip.

S- This beer has soft perfumed malt note but it is pretty cold and the smell is very clean.

T- This beer has a light perfume brown malt with some soft fruit hints in it. The finish is a bitter resin note that has a slight bite to it. The hops in the finish had a very soft tomato note that I couldn't get out of my head.

M- This beer has a light clean mouthfeel with no alcohol heat or astringency noted.

D- The hops are a bit too much with the gentle flavors of the yeast and malt flavors. There is a slight acrid taste in between the hops and malt but when it warms quite a bit the malt sweetness balances much better with the hops.

Served in an impressive goblet, this Belgian style brew pours a golden charcoal ember topped with a smattering of ivory headcap, albeit leaving some scents to be desired.

First swigs: A malty mostly hard candy lolipop-ish brew. Sweet sugar and Belgian yeast strand meet with a light leafy woody rofile. Hopped with a dryness that really lingers, followed by an invisible 5.0% ABV that lends to a drinkable Belg ale. A bit of cherry coke hints with a dry finish. Worth a try for the Belgian curious.

Beer is good. Happy beering.
