(Served in an American Pint Glass)
A - This beer has a slightly hazy reddish-brown body with a thin creamy head that last a good while. There is a gentle carbonation gliding to the surface.
S- The soft toasted dry malt aroma gives way so a woody herbal hop finish. There is a slight yeasty spicy note to the hops as it warms a bit.
T- The soft spicy rye taste blends with a green herbal hops flavor. There is a light tartness to the soft malt finish and a yeasty quality to it. The finish has a green bitter bite that lingers after each sip.
M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with a soft fizz in the finish that compliments the hops bitterness.
D- The smooth mellow toasted malt is dry and well blended. It supports the hops nicely as does the spice rye note. This is easy to drink and has some good flavor.

On tap at the brewpub. Served in a standard pint the beer is a rusty red with a thick & sticky beige head.

The nose is spicy, with rye and malts. Reminds me of rye bread with pepper notes.

The taste is also slightly spicy with grains, rye and almost a hefe style clove taste. Maybe a bit of a Rogin beer lurks in this one? I like what rye brings to the table and this beer highlights that sublet spice flavor very well.

The mouth is well rounded bordering on slick. Easy drinking session type beer. Well Done!

Appearance- Came to me with a one finger head which went away to nothing after a minute. Color was a rich, dark amber, slightly cloudy.

Smell- A more waterd down rye and hop smell.

Taste- Starts with a good hop bitterness, which then subdues to reveal some slightly sweet malted rye flavor.

Mouthfeel- A little watery, but a refshing beer yo sit and have a couple pints of at one of favorite bars, LUNAR.

A pint of pleasure poured a russet amber hue with a dense thick 1/2 " head cap. Clean scents of light citrus.

First swigs: A blend of light peach and some lemony refreshing zest. The malt is shy an the rye is intertwined with the hops.

Not a HopRod Rye if you were curious yet a clean drinker that was darn hard to put down. This could have been easily my one drink all night.

Beer is good. Happy local brewpub beering.

Shared good conversation over a pint of this beer with orbitalr0x and dwvarner77. The menu says this was dry-hopped with Strian hops. Never heard of them.

The beer poured a clear, light coppery orange with a finger head that falls to lightly coat the top of the brew. The nose was very floral ans sweet. Almost a touch of cotton candy sweetness with caramel and lifht orangey citrus. Very nice. Complex, but not overwhelming. The flavor was my favorite part of this beer. An initial blast of rye hits me like a spicey slap, but moves quickly to caramel-covered floral hop. The finish was a moderate bitter and another visit from the spicey rye to remind me of that initial smack. The flavors were very well balanced and very good. The feel was a light moderate with a moderate carbonation. I'd like a little more body. Solid moderate to a light thick would be best for me with this beer. For me, this could have been an all-day session beer. The flavors were strong, but not abrasive; complex, but not befuddling; overall a smooth and very tasty treat.

Pours a bright clear orange copper color with a nice creamy off white head. Very active carbonation in the glass. Thick patchy lacing...looks good! There's a nice spicy rye aroma upfront with a big floral aroma as well. Hints of caramel sweetness and some grassy hoppiness.

First sip brings caramelly rye upfront with a bracing spiciness that hits the whole mouth. This flows into an herbal, floral hoppy bitterness on the way down. Creamy with a wonderful rye flavor throughout. A very nice rye beer.

Medium bodied, creamy and fast moving carbonation that goes down smooth. I could easily drink a few of these with no problem. I think rye is an under used ingredient for sure. Another well made Lunar beer that is worth seeking out.
