Found some notes just recently, transcribed from written notes.

Ruby brown color, foam has a creamy surface texture and forms a lasting head. Concentric rings of sticky lacing coat the glass, leaving behind a spotty pattern in between.

Dried fruit, apple, mild spices of nutmeg or cinnamon in the aroma.

Malty and dry, apple flavors at first, some lingering spices and Belgian yeast elements. Aftertaste seems to rapidly fade. Mellow smooth feel, could use a touch more body. It's clean and flavorful, thankfully dry and not too sweet of a Dubbel.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.

Continuing my apparently annual visit to Lunar with this little guy. He pours a mostly clear garnet-copper topped by a finger of very light cream-tan foam. The nose comprises caramel, Belgian candi sugar, brown sugar, light fig, and very light raisin. Very straightforward, very pleasant. The taste brings in more of the same, along with some red apple skin, some red grape skin, and a touch of rye bread. The body is a straight medium, with a light moderate carbonation, a sorta/kinda creamy feel, and a dry-ish finish. Overall, a very nice dubbel, though the slightest tad fruity for my tastes (not by very much, but it is a small knock).

Looks like a good English brown ale. Deep brown with some hard to see bubbles. Light seltzer head. The aroma was light, malty, roasty, and some hints of brown sugar and seltzer water. The taste was a little too bubbly than malty or toasty and roasty. A little muted for a dubbel. Clean palate for such a dark beer. Tastes sessionable for a dubbel. But alas, 8% abv.

Pours into a wide mouth goblet with a mahogany hue and skim head cap.

Light scents of pancake malts meet a malty psuedo rootbeer and pancake malt flavor. Dry finish with a clean aftertaste.

A slight gripe is that this dubbel translated with a slight watery fel and flavor, but worth trying. I was glad that I did. Besides, the place is a cool brewpub, overall.
