Notes & Commercial Description:
Beer added by: MasterSki on 11-26-2011

This beer is big, malty, slightly fruity, and high in alcohol. The higher alcohol is a result of the icing process where a portion of the water is frozen and removed from the beer. Brilliant dark ruby red in color. Served in a snifter.

A clear mahogany in color with a tiny tan head. Aromas of fine whisky and Molasses. Taste is a rich molasses flavor up front, then a huge toffee component, followed by rich oak and a bit of bitterness to balance. Mouth feel is super rich. Overall a nice rich eisbock. (267 characters)

Served in a snifter, a deep dark ruby.

Aroma of plum, dark fruits, jam.

Tastes of plum, figs, sherry. Very reminiscent of a tawny port.

Full bodied, thick mouthfeel, moderate carbonation.

A magnificent beer that drinks more like a port with the high alcohol you would expect. (279 characters)
