I ordered a sampler here and sat outside. The rolling hills, tall grass, and wooded areas of the region were nice and the gentle warm breeze gave this place a perfect atmosphere score. The quality I found better than average to good, and the server was pleasant. Selection was ok, although I had hoped to try a few of their bottles selection I looked at. I did not try any food. If I'm in the area, I think I would stop for the atmosphere alone... it was not Pelican Brewery in Pacific City, but it was about the best one could hope for in the Missouri.

Nice place to stop in Augusta. The beer garden is situated on a hill along the KATY trail. This reminds me of a typical German Beer Garden with tables set up under the trees. There is a bar and covered patio area where you can order your beers. They have about 7-8 beers on tap to choose from. They also have a menu of pub fare to accompany the beers. The people are friendly and service is quite good. This is a nice change of pace stop, if you are visiting some of the wineries in the area. This is a good place to visit on a hot sunny day.

My family and I stopped at Augusta while on the local wine trail. As they aren't much into beer, this visit was a small oasis to me. I found the atmosphere to be good with plenty of open air sitting. The area seemed a little unestablished and a bit haphazard but, all in all, it's a nice place to chill and drink a few pints or pitchers between some friends.

There staff was pleasant, for the most part. One of the barmen seemed a bit snooty until I began talking hops with him... This always worries me about newcomers to beer, though, as we don't want to scare them off with beer-snobbery.

In the area that this brewery exists, it's quite the unexpected treat.

Stopped in after a drive through the Missouri hill country to view the Autumn leaves. Beers are similar to what you will find at Square One Brewery, but without as big of a selection. I really like the atmoshpere of the place. People were listening to live music that was being placed outside on the side of a hill. The food was decent, but nothing to rave about. You have to go up to the couter to order as there is no wait staff. I would highly recommend this place for a day trip or weekend getaway. There are also many wineries in the area, and the brewpub serves some of the local wines.

This rustic sister to Square One Brewery is located way out in Augusta. Make sure you check the hours before making the drive if you are coming from the city, as I learned the hard way when I originally tried to visit back in February only to find them closed. The brewpub is located just off I-94 overlooking the Missouri River. There is a small lot to the side of the brewpub.

The outside ie beautiful, with a small biergarten and an outdoor bar, all with nice views of the river and surrounding woodlands. The outside bar has a cooler with some beers to go and a small merchandise table, as well as a large chalkboard listing the current beers. The interior is smaller with s short bar and a few tables. They have a small collection of breweriana inside too.

The beer selection is pretty good, and there is some crossover with Square One. The beers range from Blonde, Hefe, Witbier, Pale to Stout along with a seasonal Rye. They also have a couple of their beers in bombers. Overall the beers are above average.

The service was very good on a weekday early evening. The bartender was pretty much doing everything (hosting, cooking etc) and was efficient and knowledgeable. He interacted well with patrons who were clearly locals and myself who was clearly a visitor.

Augusta's food is good too. I tried the brisket and it was enjoyable.

Overall this place might not be worth the drive to some people based out of STL but on a nice sunny day during "tourist season" it is well worth the trip.

The scenery certainly makes this place. They've got a great outdoor bar in a covered area and several patio tables set up out in the open that makes for awesome outdoor drinking. When we arrived all the leaves had changed and the day would have been perfect if the sun was out and there wasn't some intermittent rain.

The building itself is very small and the indoor seating only looks to hold 16-18 folks - but, like I said, why wouldn't you want to be outside?

Very easy to find. Once you're in Augusta, just look for the arrows to the brewpub. I tried their Pilsener, Kolsch, IPA, Pale Ale, Stout and then had to try the Kolsch again. The stout had a nice smoky presence and all the beers were very drinkable.

I can imagine doing a part of the Katy Trail and stopping here for a few nice, hot burgers and some cold beer. We only tried the burgers, but they came out fast and were nice.

A buddy of mine and I happened to stop by recently. Apparently they had not planned on being open that day and actually closed up the bar and left while we and some other customers were still there. Don't know if they have seasonal hours or just some other obligations for that day. Might want to call ahead if you're not visiting during the tourist season.
