341ml bottle. Moosehead - points for staying independent in this modern business world - points deducted for so far not backing that up by producing anything particularly enjoyable.

This beer pours a clear, very pale yellow straw colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and soapy bone-white head, which leaves a decent latticework of craggy lace around the glass as it genially settles.

It smells of semi-sweet grainy pale malt, corn cereal, hard water minerals, and acrid grassy and weedy hops. The taste is a reprisal of sorts, with some lightly sweet graininess, muddled cereal adjuncts (I don't feel like nitpicking about corn and rice), wet hay, and tame weedy, musty hops. At least this is a fair bit less skunky than its big brother.

The carbonation is measurably strong, manifesting in a tight frothiness, the body on the far side of medium-light weight, a tad thin, and just too prickly to be considered outright smooth. It finishes dry and gassy (and maybe a smidge grassy).

An innocuous, boring, but generally only offensive in concept, light beer. Better than the equivalent offerings from BMC, but really, meh. However, if you intend on drinking watery beer all night, and have an actual, informed patriotic streak, then this is your beer, man.

virtually no taste, though not the worst beer I have ever head which is Bud. I could only finish one gulp. Cooking beer. A bit of malt there. Dry and sweet, though not overwheklmingy so. I can see how some people might be able to give this a pass, but not me.

Tried it even though I am not a fan of light beers.

A- Light yellow. Almost too light. Made me wonder if I was actually drinking beer.

S- Smelled malty. The smell had that mass produced feel like it was chruned out. It isn't bad, but you know you aren't about to have a craft beer.

T- Mediocre. There isn't anything to distinguish this beer. I wouldn't call it bad but it tasted a little watered down. I would have killed it more on this, but since I am not a fan of the style I'll be fair.

M - Again, nothing special. It certainly isn't heavy but not sure what makes it different than any other light beer.

D - Yeah, it is drinkable. I guess if you were just into pounding down a few this would work.

I would have liked to give Moosehead some kudos for being an independent, but this was not an experience I'd wish to repeat.

Asked for the best beer they had on tap, and got Moose Light. Overall, its an above average light beer. Carbonation was above average, taste kinda wattery but more flavorful than many other light beers. I'm generally not a fan of light beers but I did enjoy this one. Quite drinkable and could have had more. Wouldn't go out of my way for more but would order it over other light beers.

Poured a medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.

The smell featured a light adjunct malt sweetness and a light grassy hop.

The taste consisted of the same adjunct malt with a grassy hop that didn't quite dry out the flavor entirely.

The mouthfeel was full for the style.

Overall a better than average light beer.

Sitting in a local pub in Saint John, NB and this appears to be the choice for the majority of patrons sitting at the bar. Served chilled in a standard shaker pint glass. This light lager certainly provides much more taste when compared to all other macro-style light lagers. Pale in colour, with a small amount of head. Very refreshing.

Moosehead Light is a ‘golden’ yellow color with good carbonation, a big head, that runs and hides quickly. Drinks crisp, clean and easy to consume. Low hop character, a little malt, and thin in flavor – but remember, it is a light beer. It is average for the style and its price is very economical. It should be a good brew to drink on a hot day.

For a light beer they don't come much better than this.
Colour is an ultra light golden hue and the crown is high for a light but disapates quickly leaving medium glass ring with a center island lace.
Aroma is clean and nondescript really.
Carbonation is very light as is the body.
Taste is evenly balanced with no clear winner, yet prominent.
Impressive(for a light)!

A CAN of CANadian beer for the furtherance of The CANQuest (TM)! CAN you believe how far this madness has come since its humble beginnings as a lark? I am now closing in on 500 CANs! Big thanks to BigBry for CANtinually being on the lookout for new CANs.

From the CAN: First off, it is now called "Moose Light" when it comes in a CAN. "At Moosehead, we believe our independence is our greatest strength, allowing us to brew quality beer without compromise, the way we always have, since 1867." They also have the latter en Francais, but all entries MUST be in English or be subject to deletion. Yes, I know the rules and sometimes I even obey them.

The Crack & Glug came off without a hitch and I was left with a rocky, fizzy finger of bone-white head with limited retention. Color was a pale lemon-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Nose smelled faintly sweet, slightly lager-like, but with a solid presence of adjuncts also. I CAN only shrug my shoulders at this type of thing now, having had so many of them. It is not bad for the style, but the style is lacking. Mouthfeel was thin, watery with a light malty sweetness underlain by a light corn flavor. Finish was equally ethereal. Light? Hell, if it were any lighter, it might have floated away! Why bother?

473mL can with no freshness date poured into pilsener glass.

Pours a remarkably pale yellow, crystal clear, with some very fast moving carbonation visible. Had is chunky, rocky, and bigger than I expected. Retention's pretty good too, and there's a bit of lacing left behind.

Aroma is mild corn husk and a faint lemony (in that fake cleaner sort of way) smell. Something vaguely metallic in there too.

Taste is a bit of lemon, some grainy sweetness, but the finish is a leafy, stale hops flavour. None of these flavours jump out at you, of course, it's all remarkably light.

Mouthfeel is light (duh), but not too thin, and nicely carbonated, giving it a bit of a zip, but not too effervescent. Probably the best part of the beer.

Drinkability? Well, it's clean, crisp, and doesn't feel heavy in the belly. Par for the course, but there's nothing there to entice me to drink this. I guess I won't turn it down if its offered, but I won't be ordering it at any bars any time soon.
