Turtle Mountain Red Rye growler into pint
Deep caramel orange/red with a one finger offwhite head that leaves
lots of beautiful lace throughout.
Aroma of candied citrus, spicey rye, caramel.
Seltzer, candied oranges, spice, soft caramel sweetness, hop
bitterness on the finish.
A light and slick mouthfeel with a low level carbonation.
Pretty easy drinking session beer, but lacks depth. Still, not bad for local.

This is my local bar, so my review might be a little one-sided. None the less, this is a very good beer. It pours very hazy, and dark red in color. Not alot of bubbles, but just enough carbonation. Smell is fairly mild, with a hoppy aroma. Taste is stong with hops, but very drinkable.

A: Pale amber color with a fluffy white head that settles quickly to leave decent lacing.
S: Aroma is of freshly baked pumpernickel bread.
T: Flavor has a broad combination of light brwon spices with a background of yeast and pine.
M: Medium body.
D: A nice example of the style, rye flavors really shine through.

Pours a deep reddish copper with a moderate off-white head, lots of lacing left, again with just the slightest chill haze. TMBC tends to serve there ales a little too cold.
Aroma is spicey and peppery with just the slightest hint of vinegar. Not sure if this is typical for rye beers though.
taste seems to start dry and finshes sweeter in this one. Some caramel and other sweet malts underlying the spiciness of the rye.
Nice carbonation level with a medium body.
