Rod’s take on the Mexican classic. This amber lager features two german hop varieties perle and hallertauer. With subtle notes of caramel and toast, this lager pairs well with any of our spicier dishes.

Off the tap this beer was an amber/copper color. The one-finger head was tan, retained well as a cap and left good lacing. The aroma was dry, grainy, slightly stale and a nice balance of malt and hops. The flavors were quite good, a shot of dry grains at first then tempered by very floral hops, spices (coriander) and kumquat and tangerine tartness from the hops. Pleasantly bitter. Like a Mexican lager crossed with an ESB. The body was medium, the mouthfeel smooth and the carbonation spot-on. (496 characters)
