Had this on tap the other night at the Lagerhaus in Palm Harbor.
Pours very clear with a nice med gold color.
Aroma is bready malt with a little sweetness and some noble hops.
Nice flavor, slight malty sweetness with breadiness also evident.
Low hop bitterness with low to med noble hop flavor.
Balance favors the malt with more malt profile that a typical helles or pils.
Very easy drinking beer without sacrificing flavor. Could hoist a few of these.

I have had this beer for many many years during my visits to Austria. You can say this was my home beer, when in Tirol. Now it's time to review it. I can start by saying that this is one of the better beers Austria has to offer.
Poured out of the 0,5 liter bottle the beer looks better than other beers i had in Austria. A very nice white head with very little carbonation. Good hoptaste with some hints of lemon and orange. A very enjoyable full tasting beer.

,5L can, dated "09.2014 L49 2 21.57"
Appearance: Light straw gold body beneath a bright white head of foam. Fairly good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Light combination of malt and hop - almost "generic" beer.
Taste: Very basic beer. Almost like American Budweiser but with more hops to it - grassy/floral. Dry, lackluster finish. Easy to drink.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light bodied / moderate carbonation.
Overall: Kind of a boring Munich helles style beer. Malt stands ahead of bitterness and hop flavor, although there's not that much malt to it, and thus even less hop flavor and bitterness.

A: pale golden colour, nice white head, gorgeous column of bubbles rising up from the bottom
S: loads of hops, hints of lemon and even grass
T: grains, hoppy finish, slightly metallic feel
M: medium body, slightly under carbonated, not too dry
O: a lot of promise, but in the end only slightly above average

I had this beer at a nice restaurant in a hotel in Vienna. It came in a huge .5L bottle (I should have a pic to load) and it was poured into a rather large pokal.
A - the color was goldenrod, with a bubbly head, about 1 finger. it did not sustain a good head and flattened out pretty quickly. there was tons of carbonation, to be honest, it really looked like a golden version of ginger ale.
S - the first scent that hit me was an apple crispiness, with an overall aroma of hops, just like most german pils.
T - it first tasted flat carbonated drink, then the carbonation receded and it tasted just like water. very weak indeed, and it does not leave a nice taste on the back of the tongue. sort of the skunky taste that you get after having a very hoppy beer, but with less hops.
M - too much carbonation, then no carbonation at all.
D - i would not consider this beer for anyone who loves flavorful beers. this beer has none of that. disappointing, but i do find myself drinking this at another time...in the distant future.

-this beer has a boat load of carbonation
-extremely long head retention
-crystal clear and bright gold in color
-almost no aroma (malt or hop)
-nothing but mild malt sweetness and CO2 bubbles up front
-a nice, Eastern European bitterness that only comes on at the end
-very drinkable, but not a favorite
-Did i mention that this beer has head retention? My entire glass is lined with a wall of white foam.

.5L emptied into a pokal.
A: Pours a straw gold with a 2-finger head which is quick to receed to almost nothing. Good lacing on the upper third of glass.
S: Spicy hops are readily apparent, slightly earthy. Yeasty white bread is also in there. Hints of citrus.
M: Weak. Watery, very little carbonation. Really feels like a beer which has gone flat, even though this one was well within date.
T: Delivers shadows of what the smell promised. The barley is middling, hops are almost a non-entity, I strongly suspect that this beer uses extracts instead of fresh produce (ingredient list is quite vague, with barley malt being the only ingredient blatently named). Very little aftertaste, just something reminiscent of orange zest.
D: Nothing outstanding here. It's smooth, in the same manner that water is smooth. Definitely not a beer that I would go out of my way to recommend, especially when there are so many other good beers which come from this region of Austria.
