12 oz. can, tulip

A – Deep brown to black, pours quite clear, very clean. A half inch of light tan foam recedes somewhat quickly.

S – Prominent moderately roasted coffee, like fresh grounds. A touch of cacao nib. Hops seem pretty low, not really apparent on the nose. Perhaps a tiny herbal, spicy note, though that could be the coffee talking.

T – Black roasted malt and fresh medium-roasted coffee grounds. Light herbal, earthy, and mildly fruity hops combined with coffee in the background. Coffee is the star here.

M – Fairly light to medium-light in body, with moderate carbonation. A touch of sweetness up front, and roasty bitterness does not linger. Fairly crisp, dry.

O – A very reserved use of coffee with this being a lighter beer, which works out well. Brisk for a coffee beer, easy drinking.

This is the one that impressed the most at the brewery, so I brought a howler back!

Pours a very effervescent mahogany with 3+ fingers of pillowy tan head. Zero head retention & lacing

S: Coffee in spades, a little chocolate up front.

T: Coffee, a little of lactic acid, baker's chocolate & woody hops up front. Plenty of coffee, some dryness as this warms. Finishes a little dry, with plenty of coffee & a little mocha

MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation

Pretty drinkable, I usually my coffee stouts bigger in ABV, but this one holds up fine, well worth a try
