Excited to try this. Pour was into a pint glass so we asked for a goblet and transferred it. A little too cold do had to let it warm a bIt. From head brewer Clay Brackley "we brewed a slightly stronger version of our Saison but this time we addedd some exotic spices. We used Indian Coriander, Indian Long Pepper, Kala Jeera (Black Cumin), and rose hips."
Appearance - golden, thin to no head. Suspect it's too cold and undercarbonated possibly because it wasn't bottle conditioned.
Smell - light spice, tiny bit of malt sweetness . Can't pick out the individual spices but it's a pleasant aroma. I like.
Taste- happy to find that the spice is not the predominant flavor here. It has a typical saison dryness and slight fruitiness. Good.
Mouthfeel - not too thin, not too heavy. Just right. But for the lack of carbonation it would be perfect.
Drinkability - I'll have another, thank you!!
Seriously though, they need to serve it in a goblet, not a pint glass. And the carbonation needs to come up a bit. Otherwise it's a fine beer indeed.
