This was poured into a weizen glass. The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to brown color with a decent two finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing was kind of all over the place. The smell had the normal "banana" aroma of a weizenbock showing a nice strength about it. There was a nice caramel/chocolate/lightly spiced background to all of this. The taste was quite flavorful through all of the previously mentioned flavors. There wasn’t any aftertaste, but there was a nicely spiced slightly dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium in body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation is fairly smooth and nice. Overall, good weizenbock I’d be willing to have again.

2014 bottle served cold in a Wizenbock glass
Poured a dark brown with a nice tan head. Lots of sediment that all went into the glass by choice.
Nose: spicy, nutmeg, banana bread, clove, vanilla, malty backbone.
Taste: liquid banana bread. Follows the nose perfectly. Malty sweetness, banana, clove, spicy and esters
What a delightful beer. I would definitely have this again.

Poured from a bomber into a tulip glass.
L: Pours a clear dark mahogany color. Hints of red... and two fingers of off-white head. Sticky lacing all over the glass.
S: Malts. Caramel and molassas... sweet and bready.
T/F: Malty and sweet up front... brown sugar and old fashioned candies. Drys out a bit at the finish, with a nondescript hop presence. Sticky and carbonated... definitely coats the tongue. Slightly herbal aftertaste.
O: This is a 'B' effort. A bit too malty... and could use more balance. I don't hate it and it's pretty drinkable... especially given the relatively high ABV. Just kind of expected more.

I expected a lot more out of this beer and just didn't get all that much. Some malt and not much else. It's ok, decent, but no show stopper for sure. Meh.
