12oz bottle poured into a snifter.
A: Hazy pumpkin orange with a huge pillow of sticky white head. Head retention is awesome. Not much visible carbonation.
S: Sweet lemon-bread and alcohol esters, burnt oranges. Definitely not a typical ESB smell.
T: Follows nose with a malty lemon and orange taste. The malts are definitely sweet, but are kept in check by the bittering of the hops.
M: Long and lingering malty-lemon aftertaste, medium-low carbonation. Bitterness is also medium.
O: This is a fantastic autumn ale to break up my pumpkin and oktoberfest binge. Definitely on the verge of being an IPA, but who cares about the style if it's a good beer?
