Where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean is the ancient city of Tangier. This confluence has made Tangier a cultural waypoint for millenia. From Greek heroes to Cold War spies and uprisings, Tangier has inspired thousands of legendary stories. It is written that before his battle with the giant Antaeus, Hercules rested in a nearby cave. But where myths end, our tale begins. Tangier is brewed as a Session India Pale Ale with spicy citrus aromas and stone fruit flavors. These flavors, with the addition of lightly roasted malts and brilliant hop bitterness, make Tangier a beverage as refreshing as it is exotic. The approachable 4.6% abv yields more time to enjoy the synergy between the tangerine peel and spicy, citrusy, Azacca hops. Enjoy Tangier in celebration of your epic adventure.

Tangier India Pale Ale | Southern Tier Brewing Company. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, the head's two fingers thick, with webbed lacing, and a medium gold body.
Smells like a pleasing mix of hops and the added citrus.
I taste a non-bitter blend of the tangerine and hops.
Medium-light mouthfeel with mild carbonation.
Tangier India Pale Ale | Southern Tier Brewing Company gets an overall 4 out of me.

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 1 finger ivory head that receded to a splotchy cap; very little lacing;
S: floral tangerine;
T: follows the nose up front, then tangerine rind becomes prevalent through the finish; moderate bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: OK, but not something I would seek out;

Southern Tier rarely disappoints and with this tangerine IPA they have produced something quite nice...
Out of the can, it produces a rusty orange colored brew with little foam and no lacing. No big deal as the smell is divine - an almost perfect blend of bitter hop notes, sweet tangerine, and maybe even a slight note of honey added in. The mouthfeel was bold and crisp, without that drying effect I sometimes get with IPAs (a big plus in my book.) The taste of tangerines and its almost perfect blendedness did not quite translate to the taste, but it was still very enjoyable - definitely more IPA than a fruit/veggie brew. Overall, I found this to be another good addition to the ST stable, with it sessionableness being a big plus.

Canned on 7-26-18.
A - Medium gold color, thin lacing, light carbonation.
S - Vinous tangerine and citrus aroma.
T - Tangerine, grapefruit, peppery fruit rind, passion fruit, nice lingering bitter stone fruit with some spicy pepper. At six weeks old, this is still very hop forward.
M - Big medium body and surprising thickness.
O - Nice flavor and thickness for such a low ABV beer.

Appearance: Clean golden amber with a nice foamy white head and lovely lace.
Aroma: Tropical fruit-forward. Very enjoyable.
Taste: Juicy with a touch of bitterness. Tangy and fruity and quite tasty. Wouldn’t turn this one down in the future.
