Poured from 12oz bottle into a tulip glass.
Appearance: Pours a clear light golden with a half finger of fluffy white head.
Smell: Definite hoppy bitterness, sweet citrus and lemon zest, and a malty presence as well.
Taste: Bitey hops, grapefruit and orange peel, picking up some spice notes as well.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied and crisp.
Overall: A very good summer time (lawn mower, pool party) beer, however I prefer this on tap than in the bottle.

Pours out clear light golden with a thinner white head leaving no lace behind, great aromas a real zesty/citrusy hop jumps out ya wich is unexpected but welcome along with a little buttery note that lingers softly.Alot of subtle but very refined nuances to this beer a dry wheaty malt backbone holds up well to a healthy dose of citrusy hop I mean its nearly perfect finishing pretty dry and buttery.Compares very well with Three Ffloyds G-Head man I like these hoppy American wheat ales!

Appearance: Pours a light golden color with a small head. Almost transparent. Little carbonation evident. Light penetrates glass all the way through.
Aroma: Hops are front & center! They are the overpowering ingredient in the aroma. Slight malt profile detected. Citrus fruits, pine needles, etc.
Taste: Bitter hops mainly evident. I'm not tasting any wheat profile. Grapefruit flavors from hops plays a large part in the flavor.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, crisp & clean. Very smooth all the way down.
Drinkability: Highly drinkable. Could have a few in a row. The clean finish lends towards being able to handle a few. Doesn't leave an aftertaste.
Comments: I liked this beer BUT I didn't think of it as really a wheat beer as I generally think of wheat beers. This was closer to an APA or IPA than a summer wheat. Too hoppy for a wheat beer. Again, Southern Tier seems to use the same hop bill so it does come off as tasting similar to their other offerings.

A- Cloudy copper with just a hint of a white head that fades quickly to a few bubbles.
S- Not a whole lot, a little bit of honey and citrus.
T- A pleasant mixture of citrusy hops, sweet malt and wheat, and a refreshingly bitter finish. Hop Sun is a pretty apt name, it's a little like drinking liquid sunshine.
M- Creamy but moderately thin with a low carbonation. Works well with the sweet and hoppy balance.
O- A really nice beer. I haven't cared much for ST in the past but this one hits the spot, even a few months after its peak.

Presentation: 12 oz brown bottle with no freshness date.
Appearance: Firm white froth that sticks all of the glass, deep golden hue with a stunning clarity.
Smell: Floral and citric hops every where, soft yet laid on thick. Quick whiff of malt as well.
Taste & Mouth Feel: Semi-crisp moderate body, lots of mild hop oil flavor up front. Vaguely sharp hop bitterness plays with the crispness of the wheat and sweetness of the barely.
Drinkability & Notes: This has to be one of the best summer seasonals I have had to date.

12 oz bottle pours a chill hazed medium pale yellow body with small white head that leaves a few flecks of lace. Aroma is unremarkable, with some wheat malt and faint lemony citrus. Mouthfeel is refreshing, with a light body and zesty carbonation. Taste is understated. Wheat malt and a tame earthy hop bitterness. The carbonation and mouthfeel hold things together to produce a pretty decent summer lawnmower beer. Otherwise, an average example of a pedestrian style.

From a growler obtained fom good ole DeCiccios in Ardsley, NY. Pours lighter goldeny amber, near white head and tehn leaving expansive zones of lace on the glass. Lemon and fresh hop notes in the nose. Ahh summer time and the time is right for zesty, refeshing summer wheat beer, this one continues on what the sniff has started, more citrus, more fresh hop bite. It all adds up to an assertive take on the style, full of flavor, zest, citrus, hop character and summery goodness. More quality brew from NY state's own ST

Thanks to shirfan for this second offering from Southern Tier.
I know it is the middle of winter and I have 36 inches of snow on my lawn, but I decided to play a trick on my brain and have a wheat beer.
Pours a nice golden copper w/ 1/2 a finger of bright white head.
Foam clings to the glass beautifully....nice hint of hops calling me to this beer.
Well...I'm not tasting the hops I was expecting, but we'll see what happens when it warms up a bit...nope, still quite mild.
Hint of lemons and oranges w/ a mild tea flavor. It is a real nice wheat beer w/ enough flavor to keep me wanting more.
The mouthfeel is enjoyable...perfectly carbonated for its style.
I feel this is one brew that is just what it says it is...and that's a good thing...no surprises.

Very good balance between wheat and hops. Probably leans more towards the hoppy side. Lots of flavor given the abv, would make a great session beer. As someone who finds most summer beers too weak, I think this is an extremely solid beer.
Definitely a good buy, would appeal to non beer people decently well.

Appearance: small carbonation, 1/4 inch head, clear, gold
Smell: orange, hops, and grapefruit
Taste: malt, wheat, lime, orange, with a hoppy finish
Mouthfeel: smooth, sweet, light, medium carbonation with a slightly bitter finish
Drinkability: With a low ABV this is exceptionally drinkable. I could really session this in the summer. A pleasant surprise as the hops are not as biting in the taste as they are on the nose. A great lawnmower beer.

Poured a clear and bright golden in color. Decent streams of carbonation march ever upwards towards the top of the glass. Head is thick, glistening white in color and does a nice job of lacing. Aromas have a nice level of hops in them that is balanced by a yeasty/doughy sweetness. Flavor is also well-balanced. Nothing out of place. It all meshes well and slides across the palate with ease. Up front is citrus hops, middle is wheat-like, end is a sweet wheatness that really makes this a thirst-quencher. Massively drinkable and well worth seeking out. Another very solid offering from Southern Tier.
Notes: Huge thanks to Schoolteacher for suggesting I pick some up while visiting the Empire State.
