Bottle dated 3/26/2012 (a little over 1 month old), poured into a standard nonic.
A: Pours a light golden color, incredibly translucent, with a bone white head on top. You can see through this beer and make out specific details on things on the other side of the glass.
S: Pine, citrus, and lemon zest, with maybe a touch of biscuits underneath.
T: Taste follows the nose. The pine grabs me at first, with citrus and lemon zest underneath and shouting from the background. Biscuit and bready flavors, likely from the wheat in the grain bill, arrive about half way through the flavor profile but never come to the forefront.
This is a hop-forward wheat beer, and an example of a time I wish I could score a 4.25 instead of a 4.0 or a 4.5.
M: Light and lively, great carbonation, and a good dry finish, with plenty of hop residue left behind on the tongue.
D/O: Very enjoyable. Light, refreshing, and well balanced. Next summer, I want a keg of this instead of Oberon.
