part of the "mix six" pack they offer, $9.99 @ DeCicco Market, Pelham, NY
half a finger of the white stuff (no, not that perv), dissipates rather quickly, decent lacing, golden orange with pale highlights, very average looking, nothing to detriment though.
mangoes and apricots covering some hop florals, caramel malts with a hint of toastiness, not uber complex but inviting for an APA.
almost prickly carbonation, but not quite. smooth going down. light body mixed with the good carbonation provides a nice drinking experience. There is a nice underlying bitterness here. Some biscuity grain flavor is also subtely in there. This almost seems like a toned down version of their IPA... and I like it. It stays balanced all the way through the glass, unlike the IPA which loses it in drinkability imo..
not as aggressively hopped as the IPA they make.. and it makes this one more drinkable. Of the two I wouold rather have this one to hang out with, I would definitely pick it up again if I come across it. "Extraordinary".. well, that is a bit much, but this is a solid APA.
