22 fl. oz. bomber poured into snifter.
A: Pours "dark as a moonless night" as the bottle describes it, letting no light through at all. Initially had a small head, but after looking away for a moment and looking back, the head had already dissipated down to a thin circle of of tan bubbles along the edge. Very light lacing.
S: Smells of dark fruit and sweetness. A bit of alcohol is present, but not overwhelming. Caramel and dark roasted/burnt malts.
T: Tons of alcohol, dark fruits and a caramel-like maltyness are in the forefront, followed by dark roasted/burnt malts that also consists of a warming alcohol sensation down the back of the throat. The aftertaste also reveals a bit of rich chocolate, earthyness and grainyness.
M/D: Very viscous yet smooth. Alcohol comes on a bit strong, taking away from the drinkability.
