A: Pretty clear gold, with great lacing and wonderful retention. White head of 2-fingers.
S: Great hops in a sticky brown sugar malt. Grapefruit flavors are all over this one.
T: Grapefruit, solid hops, very piney, aftertaste is a little metallic, which is a shame. Alcohol kicks in a little after swallowing, but I didn't taste it before, and it's not at all annoying even at 11% ABV! Still, the alcohol kills the bitterness a little, so I have to knock some points for that. Smokey sugary malt comes through after swallow.
M: Really creamy and smooth - coats the mouth like it should. Carbonation is slightly low. Pretty non-astringent - just a little.
D: Drinks wonderfully for the ABV - very warming and smooth going down. Will buy again.
