2007 vintage bottle from Bierkraft. Very different from the fresh bottle I reviewed in March'10, so I'm listing it as a can.
A: pours about the same color as normal, again with mininmal head and lace.
S: a 12% brew like this with 4 years of age on it will surely depart from its fresh brethren, and this is no exception. Aged booze; rich, strong coffee; caramel; roasty malts.
T: been awhile since I drank one of these, and I forgot how well-balanced the backbone of this brew was. Strong coffee and roasted malts shine here. Aged booze flavors add a really neat twist to this already solid brew. And it's still ridiculously easy to drink for a brew this strong when cold, but above ~60 degrees it shows its true strength.
M: big, full body with minimal carbonation. It's even creamier than a fresh bottle -- give me this on nitro and you've got perfection.
O: I've had a few of the big Southern Tier stouts (Oat, Creme Brulee) aged on draft recently, but neither of those was better with age. Jahva, however, is a real treat after 4 years in the bottle. Highly recommended!

Bomber > Mason Pint
A - Pitch black with half a finger of fizzy tan head, a little spotty lacing.
S - Weak coffee in the aroma, maybe it just didnt take well to the aging, vanilla, dark chocolate, very sweet caramel and toffee malts.
T - Super sweet stout, this is like an imperial milk stout with more of a hinting at coffee, lots of toffee flavor in this, vanilla, milk chocolate, definitely alcohol too.
M - Cloyingly sweet, viscous, silky.
O - Decent, but not what I remember it being like, I'm thinking it just didnt age well, but ohh well, thats the last I'll be having of this.
